Guest guest
Soapwort is also called Bouncing Bet, and is not an ingredient in liquid soap. It is an herb which can be used as a sudzing soap like entity in itself. All parts can be used. Clean plant with running water and wash root, then you can swish it in hot water and produce some suds for cleaning, not that effectively I might add, but can be used as a very mild shampoo for a baby, for home use only. There are other herbs that have soap-like properties, used for hundreds of years for cleaning. hth Sherry www.herbalsoap-healingcreams.com/book.html Natural Care Books, booklets, spreadsheets
Guest guest
Hi Sherry, I'm curious, what other herbs have soap like properties.....i only need a mild shampoo myself because i dont use anything like hairspray or gel in my hair. Would love to know what works well and would be gentle enough for my two year old also. Guest guest
I've never seen it on a label for liquid soap. Do you have an example of some ingredients that include soapwort?
