Hi Kanika and SabreenaI was thinking if the patient has hiatus hernia then giving him dietary advice related to hernia would be out of our bounds because are not experts on the disease. The patient should be reffered to a gastro enterologist who could decide if the patient need surgical intervention or would dietary advice be enough and also what sort of diet the patient should be on. Dentist cant do thatThe only thing we can do is prevent further tooth loss by providing occlusal splints to protect the teeth while the involuntary gastric reflex is on going and onces it gets sorted then we could go for definative restoration.Would like to know your thoughts on thisThanks Myra From: hossain.sabreena <hossain.sabreena@...> " " < > Sent: Monday, April 9, 2012 12:06 AM Subject: Re: Diabetes
