Guest guest
Yes, you can make beet kvass substituting kefir water for whey, if anyone is interested! I just made my first batch, and it turned out really yummy. I used one huge organic beet [the recipe I usually follow calls for 3 medium size ones - this one was so large I wondered if it was really organic ;-<, lol], two teaspoons Celtic salt and a quarter cup of strained coconut kefir for a half gallon of filtered water. Let it ferment for 48 hrs [our temps range from 74-78] ie
Guest guest
WOW, great to know!! Do you know if you can also use water kefir in place of when when soaking oats to eat as oatmeal (as opposed to using them for baking) and for soaking grains?? Thank you, a W > > Yes, you can make beet kvass substituting kefir water for whey, if anyone is interested!
