Guest guest
Both Camdengrey.com and from nature with love have deodorant containers. I'm not sure about the aloe butter though. Wholesale supplies plus has the aloe butter I think, they may have the deodorant containers also. Hope this helps, Sherry S I need to find: 1. Lotion bar or deodorant containers--was presented with a recipe and told I'd have an order if I made it up--who can resist?? Any idea where I can get the containers I'd need cheap? 2. The same recipe calls for aloe butter and I can't find anyone on my usual suppliers list who carries it--if you carry it contact me off-list, if you know a good supplier please post? If you're not feeling hungry and (even more important) your baby isn't grumpy and unsettled from being hungry, then I'd say you're eating enough. Make the most of this time. I did my first challenge while breastfeeding and the added calorie burning from the nursing and the lack of hormonal fluctuations made it SO much easier. Guest guest
> What would you use to get a sugary, caramel-like accord that is NOT vanilla based? Balsam Peru or Tolu come to mind...just a touch of jasmine or ylang will add a " sugary " sweetness > Where can I get a nice amber - the ones I have tried have been very resiny/medicinal? The " amber " blends are usually combination of benzoin absolute with touches of clary sage, sandalwood, patchouli, balsam peru, labdanum, storax etc., depending on the manufacturer. I agree, some have more of a resinous, plastic-like odor than others. I make a sweet amber blend by combining: 4 parts (drops, millilitres, etc.) benzoin absolute 1 parts labdanum e.o. 1 part balsam Peru e.o. 1 part sandalwood e.o. If desired, add a touch of clary sage e.o. for depth

Guest guest
I can tolerate the Myoplex Lite, it isn't too bad. Chocolate Fudge. I have only tried the pre-made kind, they are supposedly better than the packets. The GenSoy Vanilla is my favorite. I like to add a banana with it and then it is pretty yummy. I prefer those made with Soy protein over whey protein. A friend of mine who is on her second BFL challenge and she likes the whey better. I think you just have to try some and find what you like. The good thing about vanilla is you can add nonfat, sugar free hot chocolate mix to it or banana or cinnamon and have completely different shakes. I haven't tried plain though. > Who makes the best/most accurate/easy to use fat calipers??? > > What is the best (least horrible tasting) protein powder? Guest guest
I think that the best calipers are Slim Guides. http://bodytrends.com/cre874.htm Hussman recommends them too. They're big, spring-loaded, consistent, and easy to use compared to some of the little flimsy ones. My favorite protein powder is by far chocolate EAS Simply Whey. It passes the " I can drink it alone in water " test with flying colors. Optimum chocolate tastes like a mud puddle to me. Strawberry Nitro-Tech is pretty good, very sweet, kinda expensive. Vanilla Precision Protein grossed me out but I haven't had it in a couple of years. Maybe they've changed the sweetener or something. Designer flavors are always drinkable but I'm not crazy about them. The big problem with protein powders is that everyone's tastes are totally different. What one person raves about will make another person heave. You'll probably have to try a couple of brands to find your own favorite. two questions Who makes the best/most accurate/easy to use fat calipers??? What is the best (least horrible tasting) protein powder? Is it flavored like vanilla or chocolate, or is it just plain old protein powder? Thanks for any responses. Guest guest
I use EAS Somply Whey. I can get a big jug of it at wal-mart and it works pretty good. I've even used the chocolate in pancakes. Not much taste. I can't drink it straight up though. Guest guest
Bands are fine for workouts where you don't have access to weights. They're great for throwing in a suitcase and taking with you. They do give you some resistance but it's not the same as weights. They seem to be much worse on my elbows than real weights. I may be crazy though. Betagen has glutamine and HMB in addition to the creatine. It may help a little more with recovery than plain creatine. Glutamine is good for your immune system and HMB has some fat loss buzz. Two questions I know someone will be able to help me out! 1. In this month's Energy, a woman is doing an arm workout with giant elastic exercise bands. Are those any good or are they a girly-girl pink dumbbell waste of time? I ask because I'm always looking for good exercises that won't strain my elbows, which are moderately arthritic, and I'm thinking the elastics might be a good idea. 2. Is there any advantage to Betagen over plain creatine? Thanks! Lorraine
Guest guest
, If you run two separate protocols on the same client, why would you want to see them on the same graph? If you are training different frequencies and/or different sites, I don't understand what the benefit would be of seeing them on the same graph. The answer is, to the best of my knowledge, that you would have to end one session (and thus create its graphable file) in order to create a new protocol (or better yet, have in already created under a different name) and run that one. Pete -----Original Message-----From: Goldring [mailto:paul.goldring@...]Sent: Friday, April 25, 2003 8:34 AM Subject: two questions1) If I run two protocols on a patient do I have to stop the session, go back to the home screen and change all the settings? Then if I do I have essentially two sessions for a person on the same day. Then the end session graph has two seperate graphs for that person that day. Is there a work around?2) I have Space Crystal on my desktop (not sure exactly how it got there) but it isn't listed in the Launch Window under add-on games. How do I run it? Guest guest
I would recommend avoiding eating anything from a can and crackers!!! forget those all together. Eat whole foods, prepared by you so that you know what is in them. Turkey chili is easy to prepare and freeze in ziploc containers. That's just my opinion. Guest guest
Your traps won't get big unless you do a whole lot of heavy shrugs. Shoulder exercises like presses and lateral raises don't involve the trapezius enough to be an issue. Even upright rows are ok if you let your shoulders do the work and don't accidentally start shrugging. Training your shoulders is really important to achieving beautiful, well-balanced arms. Plus, a strong, well-rounded shoulder cap actually makes your hips look smaller. Women who don't workout have narrow, flat, soft shoulders that make the hips appear wide by comparison. Shoulder training is the greatest thing ever invented for anyone who's pear-shaped! :-) Pears can actually transform themselves into an hourglass or V-shape. Do shoulder presses hurt because you have an injury? If you have screaming pain inside the joint itself, don't do any moves that aggravate it. Some exercises are easier on the joint than others. Front and lateral raises cause fewer problems than heavy overhead presses, which can really tweak crunchy injured shoulders. If you're using a barbell, pressing in front of the neck is easier on the shoulders than pressing behind it. Arnold presses are probably the safest overhead press because they rotate through a more natural range of motion. Be sure to start light if you have a history of shoulder problems or if you're not used to training them. Here's a whole page of shoulder moves if you're looking for some new ideas: http://exrx.net/Lists/ExList/ShouldWt.html On Sat, 11 Dec 2004 02:48:00 -0000, midwiferywoman2 <midwiferywoman@...> wrote: > > > I;ve heard a couple people on this group mention FitDay. Guest guest
I'll take on the shake question...alot of folks will throw in a few berries or 1/4 banana in a shake...but it is a small quantity. Many use the Myoplex lite just as it is less calories and carbs than its full strength sister. If I add fruit into my shake, I usually only add fruits that are low glycemic ones...and if I opt for banana (which I do as they are yummy in shakes), I usually put in 1/4 of a small one...some go up to 1/2 a banana. I stick to strawberries or raspberries. I also like the lite version of Myoplex...the regular stuff is way too much for me...in consistancy and in taste. Even with the lite, I use more ice cubes to cut it down. In the EFL book, there are some great variations on the shake. A few berries or a small piece of banana is not going to break you. A lot of fruit would be two bananas in a shake...not a little piece. A handful of berries is fine...a 2 handfuls of mango may be more calories and carbs then you want to bargin with in the beginning. Also,if you are doing everything else (eating clean and lifting to intensity)...you should be fine, with the simple shake or one from the EFL book. > > Hi everyone, > > How is everybody? Guest guest
1. CARBS IN SMOOTHIES I use a protein powder that only has 1 gram of carb. This gives me plenty of room for adding fruit. Bear in mind that we're all individuals - EFL was written as a guideline, and recipes need to be adjusted to your particular body. 2. FAT FREE YOGURT I use a light fat free yogurt; it uses a sugar substitute, and is about 110 calories per container. This, with cottage cheese, is a favorite Meal 6 for me. 3. FREEDAY I do not think you should forego your freeday because of carbs in your shakes, or the yogurts. Just keep going, as planned. General - relax. Eat whole foods. Enjoy your food. Use palm/fist for portions and you'll be fine. n T. At 08:30 AM 1/5/2006, you wrote: > > > > How is everybody? Hope all is well with you.
