ZnOE u only need a very thin layer of material just to fill the voids between the special tray and the tissues. If the smallest option is 0.5 mm then that's the correct one. If 1mm is the smallest number they give u in the list then its that. The elastomer: the smaller the number the higher the flow of the elastomer. I.e. If you're using a medium bodied elastomer, then u wud probably need the 1-1.5 space. If a wash is being used (light-bodied), as in a reline, an 0.5mm space wud suffice.
