Guest guest
Well, I've really been enjoying my new " toy " (or should I say " pet " ?). I definitely had some die-off for several days when I first started drinking the water kefir. Is that a common experience? So far I've only tried prune with fresh ginger root (that's all I had on hand) and the last week I've been making dried cranberries with ginger root. I wanted to try lemon but the info sheet said that lemon is questionable. However, the recipes in Eat Fat Lose Fat include lemon. How questionable is " questionable " ? Or should I ferment, then add lemon and do a second ferment? How much luck have you all had with lemon? Any favorite combos? I like the bit of punch that ginger gives it. One last question... (for now <g>) How much water kefir do you drink daily? I'm drinking close to a quart minus what I share with dc because it seems to be ready every 24-36 hours. Gee, no wonder I had die-off!? Thanks, Marilyn, for these wonderful water kefir grains. Beth
