Guest guest
Hey All! I need some help here. Long story short, I was a whistle-blower at work and ticked some people off. One of them (I'm quite sure I know who it is) called DCS the other day and reported me and my ex as neglecting my daughter (that she was dirty, unbathed and not well fed) and also said that we both use Marijuana. All of the allegations are totally untrue. Nonetheless, they still showed up at his house the other day. A DCS worker, a Sheriff's Dept. investigator and a social worker (he believes she is the one who would take a child away if there was proof of neglect). He let them in, they looked around. He signed a bunch of paperwork...says he received copies but he's not sure if he got copies of all that he signed. He said that most of them are basic forms stating what DCS does and basically he signed acknowledging that he understood and he also signed a form saying that DCS can get all of her medical records. I haven't been on in a while, but my daughter is totally unvaccinated. And this is what terrifies me the most!!! Will they use this as a reason for neglect and try to take her away or try to force vaccinations? They tried to find me on Friday but I was unreachable (and had my daughter with me). The investigator talked to me on the phone on Friday night and told me that she basically thinks already that the call was unfounded but they still need to investigate and " see the child " before they can close it. Ok...with him already having signed the forms to get her medical records, do you think this is going to lead to a problem? (The fact that she is unvaccinated)? Also, they're supposed to be coming to my house on Tuesday. Should I have my lawyer here? I really can't afford him, but wonder if I should do it anyway? What if I refuse to sign the paperwork/forms that they bring? What do you think will be done after their visit here? I'm absolutely terrified. Again, the allegations are totally unfounded, and I understand that they still need to investigate any call they get. But this is one agency I've been terrified of all along and it's like the nightmares are coming true. Can anyone offer advice/input? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much!
