a,

You can find organic at more and more stores these days. I've seen

it at Target and my regular grocery store, as well as Sam's club and

of course, it's always available at Whole Foods and Wild Oats and

Trader Joe's.

The enema bags have been hard to find, but I did get one at WalMart a

few years back for a very reasonable price. It was a combination hot

water bottle/enema bag. But I found that the Enema Bucket that is

made of clear plastic is much easier to use, and you can tell that it

is clean! Those enema bags made out of red rubber make it very

difficult to see if there is anything left after washing it out.

Thanks - I knew I needed some potassium but was unsure what to get. I also need to get some mag. in my body. I think this may help with my joint/musle pain. I am interested in the Garden of Life metabolism pill to help speed up my metabolism. It shows it is sluggish. This would explain why I am having trouble losing the weight I gained when I was pregnant even though I eat better and exercise. Just wondering if the Garden of lLife metabolism helped with this or not. It should not ause diarrhea should it??? Did you notice a difference when you were using it????

Much Love,

Beth

Re: Liver Flush

a,I understand your hesitation to do these new detoxing therapies. It's always scary doing something that you've never done before and don't know what to expect.

But first of all, let me say that I have found that none of these detoxing therapies have ever been painful. They may be difficult in the sense that they can make you feel icky... the magnesium citrate of the liver flush can make you nauseaous and in fact, my husband did throw up on his last one. But generally this icky feeling is all that you will have to deal with as your body throws off all the junk that needs to come out.

The more you read about coffee enemas and liver flushes, the better you will feel about it. Check our links section or just do an internet search. Keep in mind that there are naysayers--organiza tions-- who will try to scare you away from doing these, using their big sounding credentials to sound authoritative, but the proof is there...they work. Beth,I tried Garden of Life FucoThin (diet supplement) . . . It's supposed to be a gentle metabolism supplement. However, it lead to Atrial Fibrillation for me! The doctor told me not to take any stimulants . . . found in many OTC meds for colds, etc. . and go easy on coffee and some teas. They tested 170 Russian women with FucoThin . . . None of whom was a senior, stressed or overly tired. . . I had a long talk with them . . . I doubt it did any good though.Rogene

Yep PH. . . It sounds like time to give liver flushes a break. How close together have you been doing them? . . . Once a month apart is pushing it . . . in my opinion.I know how raw my gut gets doing the prep for a colonscopy. And that's without pushing the gall bladder and liver. . Once every three months would be plenty for me.I know how bad you want to feel 100% perfect health . . . It does takes time though!Hugs,Rogene

Hi Rogene,

I was doing them monthly but then had such great success that these

last two I did 2 weeks apart. I don't think I'll be doing one for a

long long time!! I'm bleeding almost like a light period and starting

to get scared. I started thinking about how when I first got sick I had

anemia despite a great diet and read about internal bleeding can cause

anemia. I start thinking what if my intestines are ruptured from all

the mercury or fungi and that's causing me to bleed...I know the

liklihood is small but still, I just want this to stop!! I don't hurt

at all. I'm wondering if it's a fissure or hemmoroid or what. I am in

no position to get a colonoscopy w/ my brain fog and vision the way

they are...don't need the extra toxins from anesthesia or the junk I

have to prep with. I'm sure I'll be fine. I certainly learned my

lesson though! Love, PH

If you look at the bottom of the page in the box where it says expand

topic (I think) it shows some previous responses Bee had to liver

flushes. They are from 2005 if my memory is serving me correctly, but

it does give some information. HTH

==>Crystal, a liver flush can be dangerous - see previous messages in

the archives for more details. To help your liver do coffee enemas, do

dry skin brushing, and eat the high fats on my program. Good fats help

the liver function better, they cleanse the entire body and they

reconstruct all of the cells. They also normalize gall bladder

function, and are very important for kidney health.

In the USA, go to www.barefootherbalistmh.com and buy his LBB capsules.

They work great.

Hi Walter,

I suggested you post this so that you could get many opinions and not just mine.

My personal suggestion would be to use the one my mother uses (she has Hep C).

It is

the Young Living cleasing program. Its purpose is to help detoxify the liver

and help

maximize normal liver functions in a natural, effective way. The cleanse is

built around the

concept of the Master Cleanse drink, Vital Life Juice, salads, and nutritional

supplements

for a minimum of five days. The recipes for the Master Cleanse and Vital Life

drinks and

salads can be found in our Re-JUVA-nate Your Health brochure authored by D.

Young and available at http://www.youngliving.com/scarlet

The idea with this clease is to support your body while doing it avoid

overwhelming

fatigues that often accompanies a cleanse.

Master Cleanse (single serving):

2 Tablespoons of organic lemon juice, fresh-squeezed a must (1 Lemon)

2 Tablespoons of organic agave syrup OR organic grade B maple syrup (not the

commercial maple flavored syrup you use on pancakes)

1/10 Teaspoon cayenne pepper powder

Ten ounces of filtered water

The RE-JUVA-nate booklet goes into all the details but aside from drinking the

cleanse 6

times a day, you'll need to drink plenty of water and in the morning, you'll

want to drink

25-35 oz. of filtered water with 1 teaspoon of sea salt. This is the laxative.

You could also

use an herbal laxative tea but that might keep you busy all day. The sea salt

works on

elimination within an hour.

Good Luck.

The Truth about Gallbladder and Liver

" Flushes "

Moran, MB, BS, BSc(Med), FRACS, FRCS(Eng)

Gallbladder

and liver " flushes " are widely advocated as a way of treating

gallstones and helping with medical conditions ranging from allergies to cancer

[1-4]. In the usual “flush,” half a cup or more of a vegetable oil

is consumed together with citrus juice and Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate),

usually after a brief fast. Many green, brown, yellow or black blobs of various

sizes may later appear in the bowel movements. Some bear a slight resemblance

to gallstones, but they are not stones. They are merely bile-stained

" soaps " produced by partial saponification (soap formation) of the

oil. A recent demonstration found that mixing equal volumes of oleic acid (the

major component of olive oil) and lemon juice produced several semi-solid white

balls after a small volume of potassium hydroxide solution was added. After

air-drying at room temperature, these balls became quite solid and hard. When formed

in the intestine, these objects absorb bile and become green [5]. It has

also been shown that red dye will appear in the interior of the

“stones” if consumed with the oil [1].

The fact that the material is due to some kind of

transformation of the oil is clear from user descriptions and ultrasound

images. The most obvious evidence is that the alleged “stones”

float on the toilet water [2,3,6], as might be expected of a largely

oil-based substance. Gallstones sink. Patients with medically diagnosed

gallstones may be able to confirm this for themselves by looking at their own

ultrasound scans. The stones, if free to move, will settle at the lowest part

of the gallbladder, even though bile is much denser than water. The picture

to the right shows a cross-section of the gallbladder (the oblong black area)

with three moderately large stones in the lowermost area.

Perhaps

this isn’t the support group for me; while I am open to alternative

medicine, most simply do not work and can cause more harm than good.

I

would try acupuncture; there are studies that show it can be effective, but I

can’t afford it.  I can’t afford to chase after every

pie-in-the-sky, either.

I

know how desperate people can be to find a magic cure, but God created the

Universe operates according to natural laws; these are rarely suspended.

Hi, this is Gavriela. I've been a member of this group for the past six years. I rarely check in to say much, I mostly lurk and read everything that's posted. I know that there are others who used to be here and who contributed to some lively and informative discussions, who are now either gone or simply hang around as I do, waiting for some new people with fresh ideas.I feel a need to jump in right now so that you () not give up on this group. It needs what you provide: a breath of fresh air and plain common sense. I also appreciate your respectful attitude towards other posters as well as your openness to hearing about what has helped others fighting HCV.It seems that what repeatedly derails conversation here is the unwillingness of some posters to hear anything about treatment

options other than the one they believe in. Sharon, while I would defend your right to state your opinion about your own her specific treatment, I don't appreciate your generalizations--trashing ALL doctors and pharmaceutical companies. That's simply not helpful and can demoralize those of us who seek treatment as the best possible option. Just to let you know my background, I have been infected with HCV for the past 40 or so years, genotype 4. I was on treatment from Nov. 2003 until June 2005. I cleared the virus at week 19 and stayed clear until a week after the 72 weeks of treatment, when I relapsed. Treatment was grueling (I had to be hospitalized three times due to high fevers and low white and red counts). Knowing what I know now and still having HCV despite all the misery of those 18 months, I'm glad I did the treatment. I'm also willing to carefully consider any other alternatives as long as they are backed by research and studies and

even if they don't help, they won't hurt. As or Don said (sorry, can't remember which of you) just because it's natural doesn't mean it's not chemical or risky. Please stick around , and to any other former members who are silent out there, come back. And Sharon, don't leave. You may have had a dreadful experience on treatment, but don't discourage others who are fighting this disease from using every weapon at their disposal. We all choose our path on this journey and need all the support we can get from our fellow heppers. With all good wishes to everyone here,GavrielaFrom:

A

good friend talked me into staying, but I thought the group wouldn’t want

me here, if the focus of the group is alternative therapies.  I’m very

passionate about what I know, so I may need a gentle reminder now and then if I

get bogged down in refuting an opinion.

three times due to high fevers and low white and red counts). Knowing what I

know now and still having HCV despite all the misery of those 18 months, I'm

glad I did the treatment. I'm also willing to carefully consider any other

alternatives as long as they are backed by research and studies and even if

they don't help, they won't hurt. As or Don said (sorry, can't remember

which of you) just because it's natural doesn't mean it's not chemical or

risky.

Please stick around , and to any other former members who are silent out

there, come back. And Sharon, don't leave. You may have had a dreadful

experience on treatment, but don't discourage others who are fighting this

disease from using every weapon at their disposal. We all choose our path on

this journey and need all the support we can get from our fellow

heppers.

With all good wishes to everyone here,

Gavriela

Hi Walter,

I suggested you post this so that you could get many opinions and not just

mine.

Young and available at http://www.youngliv ing.com/scarlet

Good Luck.

I guess that you saw all the comments since original question by just scrolling

through the

messages. Other than those, I don't know if that particular flush is any good

and no one

else seemed to comment on it in particular either. But there are lots of

responses, if you

missed those, take a look back!

Hi, Gavriela,

I totally with you. We must keep positive attitude and try to focuss on positive outcome. Every disease has treatment except death and oldage. It is not true that if one is not cured through alopathic medicine, the rest can't. There are many who recovered fully. Many recovered through alternative medicine but one thing one must keep in mind what ever treatment you are getting,pl remain determined and never loose hopes. When ever lost hope, every thing will be lost. Start the treatment with firm belief that you will be cured. We are here to support each other so please keep on encouraging.

I also appreciate your respectful attitude towards other posters as well as your openness to hearing about what has helped others fighting HCV.It seems that what repeatedly derails conversation here is the unwillingness of some posters to hear anything about treatment options other than the one they believe in. Sharon, while I would defend your

Don't be emotional . My personal view is that non of us should leave the group rather contribute as much as possible. we are like a family. we can't leave afamily member when he/she is in trouble so please stay on contrbute. I am using alternative methods but simultaneously I am not denying alopathic treatment. You share your experience and give some suggestions, it is up to the members to follow or not. You have done your noble duty.

A good friend talked me into staying, but I thought the group wouldn’t want me here, if the focus of the group is alternative therapies. I’m very passionate about what I know, so I may need a gentle reminder now and then if I get bogged down in refuting an opinion.

Hi Pam,

This cleanse sounds like just the thing I need. I've been having pretty severe back pain below my right shoulder blade. It's worse in the afrernoon and I have to lay down by 6;00.

I've had it for 2 years. I have Hep C - genotype 1 and cannot take treatment now because of finances and my work schedule. Any other tips for me. Also, what is the treatment for parasites?

Thanks,

Mercedes

Here are some others (if you don't have cirrhosis!)Liver cleanse and gallbladder cleanse flush NO surgeryIngredientsa.. 1/2 Cup Olive Oil Extra Virgin (= 1.25 dl)b.. 1 Big grapefruit (2 small) (Or 3 lemons)c.. 4 tablespoon EPSOM salts = ( MgSO4 + 7H2O)d.. (EPSOM salts = Magnesium Sulphate = EPSOMITE = Magnesium Sulfate Heptahydrate)e.. 3 cups water (=750 dl)f.. 1/2 Cup Classic Coke (Optional - for taste only. See webmaster's note below)g.. (P.S .!! 1 cup = 250 ml = 2.5 dl = 0.25 l )------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- -[Note inserted by webmaster:You can substitute the 3 cups of water (=750 dl) (used in this recipe to dissolve the Epsom salt) with 3 cups freshly pressed grapefruit juice, or freshly pressed apple juice. That way you will not feel the unpleasant taste of the Epsom salt.I also recommend using grapefruit juice

over lemon juice. The lemon juice sometimes doesn't mix with the oil as well as grapefruit juice.]------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- -Choose a day like Saturday for the cleanse, since you will be able to rest the next day.Take no medicines, vitamins or pills that you can do without; they could prevent success. Stop the parasite program and kidney herbs too, the day before.Eat a no-fat breakfast and lunch such as cooked cereal with fruit, fruit juice (no butter or milk), baked potato or other vegetables with salt only. This allows the bile to build up and develop pressure in the liver. Higher pressure pushes out more stones.2:00 PM.Do not eat or drink after 2 o'clock. If you break this rule you could feel quite ill later.Get your Epsom salts ready. Mix 4 tbs. in 3 cups water and pour this into a jar.[ You can substitute the 3

cups of water with 3 cups freshly pressed grapefruit juice, or freshly pressed apple juice .]This makes four servings, 3/4 cup each. Set the jar in the refrigerator to get ice cold (this is for convenience and taste only).6:00 PM.Drink one serving (3/4 cup) of the ice cold Epsom salts. If you did not prepare this ahead of time, do it right now. You may also add 1/8 tsp. vitamin C powdered to improve the taste. You may also drink a few mouthfuls of water afterwards or rinse your mouth. Get the olive oil and grapefruit out to warm up.8:00 PM.Repeat by drinking another 3/4 cup of Epsom salts. You haven't eaten since two o'clock, but you won't feel hungry. Get your bedtime chores done. The timing is critical for success; don't be more than 10 minutes early or late.9:45 PM.Pour 1/2 cup (measured) olive oil into the pint jar. Squeeze the grapefruit by hand into the

measuring cup. Remove pulp with fork. You should have at least 1/2 cup, more (up to 3/4 cup) is best. You may top it up with lemonade. Add this to the olive oil. Close the jar tightly with the lid and shake hard until watery (only fresh grapefruit does this). Now visit the bathroom one or more times, even it makes you late for your ten o'clock drink. Don't be more than 15 minutes late.10:00 PM.Drink the potion you have mixed. Take 4 ornithine capsules with the first sips to make sure you will sleep through the night. Take 8 if you already suffer from insomnia. Take it to your bedside if you want, but drink it standing up. Get it down within 5 minutes (fifteen minutes for very elderly or weak persons).------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------Notes from the webmaster:Although I generally recommend against drinking soda, I make an exception when doing the

liver flush. Adding an amount of Classic Coke equal to the amount of olive oil to the recipe makes swallowing the mixture much easier.------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- ---------Lie down immediately. You might fail to get stones out if you don't. The sooner you lie down the more stones you will get out. Be ready for bed ahead of time. Don't clean up the kitchen. As soon as the drink is down walk to your bed and lie down flat on your back with your head up high on the pillow. Try to think about what is happening in the liver. Try to keep perfectly still for at least 20 minutes. You may feel a train of stones traveling along the bile ducts like marbles. There is no pain because the bile duct valves are open (thank you Epsom salts!). Go to sleep. You may fail to get stones out if you don't.Next morning. Upon awakening take your third dose of Epsom salts. If you have

indigestion or nausea wait unit it is gone before drinking the Epsom salts. You may go back to bed. Don't take this potion before 6:00 AM.2 hours later.Take your fourth (the last) dose of Epsom salts. Drink 3/4 cups of the mixture. You may go back to bed. After 2 more hours you may eat. Start with fresh fruit juice. Half an hour later eat fruit. One hour later you may eat regular food but keep it light. By supper you should feel recovered. How well did you do?Expect diarrhea in the morning. Use a flashlight to look for gallstones in the toilet with the bowel movement. Look for the green kind since this is proof that they are genuine gallstones, not food residue. Only bile from the liver is pea green. The bowel movement sinks but gallstones float because of the cholesterol inside. Count them all roughly, whether tan or green. You will need to total 2,000 stones before the liver is

clean enough to rid you of allergies or bursitis or upper back pains permanently. The first cleanse may rid you of them for a few days, but as the stones from the rear travel forward, they give you the same symptoms again. You may repeat cleanses at two week intervals. Never cleanse when you are ill.Sometimes, the bile ducts are full of cholesterol crystals that did not form into round stones. They appear as a "chaff" floating on top of the toilet bowl water. It may be tan colored, harboring millions of tiny white crystals. cleansing this chaff is just as important as purging the stones. How safe is the liver cleanse? It is very safe. My opinion is based on over 500 cases, including many persons in their seventies and eighties. None went to the hospital; none even reported pain. However it can make you feel quite ill for one or two days afterwards, although in every one of these cases the

maintenance parasite program had been neglected. This is why the instructions direct you to complete the parasite and kidney rinse program first.http://www.healingd aily.com/ liver-detoxifica tion/liver- flush.htm~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~Dr. Hulda 's Liver FlushPreparationa.. You can't clean a liver with living parasites in it. You won't get many stones, and you will feel quite sick. Zap daily the week before and complete the parasite killing program before attempting a liver cleanse. If you are on the maintenance parasite program, you are always ready to do the cleanse.b.. Completing the kidney cleanse before cleansing the liver is also highly recommended. You want your kidneys, bladder and urinary tract in top working condition so they can efficiently

remove any undesirable substances incidentally absorbed from the intestine as the bile is being excreted.Ingredientsa.. Epsom salts: 4 tablespoonsb.. Olive oil: half cup (light olive oil is easier to get down), and for best results, ozonate it for 20 minutes. Add 2 drops HCl.c.. Fresh pink grapefruit: 1 large or 2 small, enough to squeeze 2/3 cup juice. Hot wash twice first and dry each time.d.. Ornithine: 4 to 8, to be sure you can sleep. Don't skip this or you may have the worst night of your life!e.. Large plastic straw: to help drink potion.f.. Pint jar with lidg.. for storing your gall stones and the index card.If you should experience extreme nausea or vomiting, try chasing it with a small amount of V8 juice or pineapple juice. Or you might try adding a few drops of peppermint oil to the olive oil. Use one of these mixtures for a couple of doses and then go back to the olive oil and lemon juice without adding anything.THE TREATMENT12 NoonStop eating all solid food6.30 pmStop drinking all fluids7.00 pmUsing a measuring device, pour ¼ cup (four tablespoonfuls) of olive oil and drink it.Follow immediately with one or two tablespoonfuls of lemon juice.Lie down and relax.Repeat this every 15 minutes. Sit up, swallow it and lie down again. If possible, have someone else bring them to you.Relax, read or watch television.Repeat the exact dosage every 15 minutes until you have swallowed all of the pint

of olive oil. If there is any lemon juice left, drink it all.It is now probably 10.00 or 10.30 pmRemember, if you have terrible nausea or vomiting sensations, use the peppermint oil in the olive oil, or chase the olive oil with a small amount of V8 or pineapple juice, until you can resume taking the plain olive oil and lemon juice. While you are taking the olive oil and lemon juice, if it gets hard to swallow, take a little more time between doses. Try 20 minutes between doses, or 25 minutes. Try to swallow all of the oil and lemon juice. If you are too nauseated to get it all down, take as much as you possibly can.You have finished the olive oil and lemon juice. Now go to bed and do your best to go to sleep. Lie on your right side. This position speeds up the process of the olive oil entering the gall bladder to act as a lubricant. This, along with the softening action of the lemon

juice, will help to free the stones more easily and readily from the gall bladder. Stay in bed and forget everything until the urge to go the toilet comes. That was really quite simple, wasn't it?About 2.00 or 3.00 am you'll probably wake up with the unmistakeable urge to go to the toilet. It may not happen. For some, it doesn't happen until 11am the next day. If your first bowel movement is at 2.00 or 3.00 am you will probably have no stones in it, but you'll want to check to be sure. When you have the first bowel movement after the treatment, you'll use the pitcher of water and the paint stirring stick to wash the fecal material through the net. Pour water gently and use the stick to separate the stones from the fecal material. The fecal material will be runny and wash through the net.You can use the index card, folded in half, as a makeshift shovel. Place the stones in the jar and

screw the lid on. You may want to show your stones to some people. Many will be amazed, but some will still be unbelievers. You certainly want to keep your stones for a while to remind yourself that it was all worth while. After a few days they will dissolve (because of the lemon juice and oil). If you want to keep them for an indefinite period, store them in your freezer with a label - GALL STONES. DON'T' EAT!!!!You may notice green objects and maybe greenish liquid excrement in the toilet bowel. Those are small gall stones. Some gall stones may be dissolved by the treatment.Dr found that 1% of people failed to pass gall stones. If you are one of these 1%, don't be disappointed. In some individuals, the powerful action of the lemon juice causes the stones to dissolve before they are passed out of the body. IF you have only greenish liquid bowel movements, the treatment has been

effective.Notice any increase in vitality that usually follows the treatment.Remember, optimum efficiency in the human body can only occur if all our God-given parts are working properly. Some people (including doctors) will say that your gall stones are not gall stones but fecal matter. To quote from Dr :"To clarify the situation and eliminate such questions, I sent a sample of gall stones to a medical analysis lab run by a Ph.D. who heads up the Science Department at Texas Woman's University in Denton. He ran the necessary tests. His analysis of the stone sample I sent was 91% cholesterol and the rest was bile salts, water and inert ingredients. In other words, the sample had the chemical contents of gall stones. And the report clearly states it was gall stones".------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- -FOLLOW UPTake supplements to

-Hi Mike,

I guess I might as well jump in here with both feet. Hope

they don't end up in my mouth. Why wouldn't this be the group for

you? If you are open to alternative tx but don't want to try it then

why does it matter? Many, many times conventional treatment doesn't

work either and can cause devastating , lasting side effects. Each

person is different and will react different to any kind of tx or

drug or supplement. SUPPORT is the key word here. I SUPPORT your use

of conventional treatment. For myself, I SUPPORT never even

entertaining the idea of conventional treatment. The " other " group we

were in were only supportive if you agreed with EVERYTHING, some of

THEM believed in. I'm sure hoping it isn't that way here. Like I said

I just jumped in here so am hoping I didn't get myself into quicksand

but hope you don't go anywhere and wish you luck whatever treatment

or group you do...Debbie-- In

Hi Pam,

Thank you so much for the info. Would you plerase send me the parasite cleanse and kidney cleanse. Your site is wonderful and so informative. I've so much to learn

From: PeachStatePam <figment@...>Subject: [ ] Liver Flush Date: Wednesday, January 7, 2009, 6:12 PM

Pint jar with lidg.. sure you will sleep through the night. Take 8 if you already suffer from insomnia. Drinking through a large plastic straw helps it go down easier. You may use oil and vinegar salad dressing, or straight honey to chase it down between sips. Have these ready in a tablespoon on the kitchen counter. I have read about gold coin grass and have read that it softens stones.

Go for it. Nothing to lose and everything to gain. I think

Chang sells this.

Best wishes,

Hi

Again, I would not be concerned with the sugar content of the apple juice.

Even though I do not have any clinical experience with Gold Coin Grass (some

also recommend Chinese Bitters be taken along with the GCG) it seems to be

an effective substitute but I believe that it must be taken for a few weeks

in advance of the flush. However, I would be concerned because it is grown

in China. Also, some have complained of stomach upset when using it. I

think that Chanca Piedra is probably safer and just as effective.

I would also remind everyone that it is prudent to make sure that stones are

broken up and/or softened. We have never had anyone suffer a blockage from

a lodged stone but that does not mean that we should be careless in doing

the necessary preparation for a liver/gallbladder flush. Of course, the

epsom salts will also help with this but I have seen some even recommend

skipping this portion of the cleanse. Make sure you know what you are doing

and that you are comfortable with the flush you decide to perform.

Be Well

Loretta

I am planning on using Gold Coin Grass, as suggested in the book " The

Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush " instead of the juice (because of the

sugar content). Loretta, do you think that will work just as well as the

juice?

I have never had any pain related to stones.

I heard that orthophosphoric acid may be used instead of apple juice. You might

wish to search that.
