Gail,

Karma is right, hold your nose and chug-a-lug that nasty stuff down. I have

done that before. However, for myself, I can't stand it cold. I find it

easier to slam down room temp. But that's just me. If it's cold, I tend to

get a headache drinking it so quickly.

Gail, I had the same problem and I could not keep it down. I am going to try

this other method I have heard of/ take beets and boil them and eat the

leaves all day. Don't eat too much other than beet leaves. than take a hot

bath,as hot as you can take. This dilates the gall bile. Sleep on right side.

Eat a large portion of plain, boiled, unseasoned beet leaves and nothing else

much that day. I have not tried it yet but I have heard it works great.

Hi Gail,

I have done two of these flushes. I plan to do another one next week. The first time I got about 1,000 stones out. The second time maybe 200 The Epsom salt water is VERY bitter and needs to be slammed down before you get a chance to taste it! Make sure it is really, really cold! It is only 3/4 cup, I am able to slam that down pretty fast, it has a nasty after bite, but I am able to do it. My husband did it this last weekend and got rid of a lot of stones too. He was pretty wimpy about it too. The only reason he didn't wimp out on it was because I had done it a second time. He said it must have helped or there was no way I would have put myself through it for a second time.

The benefits to me have been -- allergies almost completely gone. No sniffing, itchy eyes and my skin allergies have cleared up too. I am now losing that last 15 pounds that have been giving me fits for a really long time. The cellulite that was in my legs (not bad, but I didn't like having it.) is leaving FINALLY! These are all pretty vain reasons for doing the cleanse, but they are my reasons. I am in pretty good health because I am a believer in prevention and have led a very preventative and healthy lifestyle. This flush has been a wonderful addition to my cleansing efforts.

I guess what I am saying, is, just decide if you want the benefits and how bad do you want them, then SLAM that nasty tasting stuff down. It is only 3/4 of a cup after all. I realize this is easier said than done. I am just one of those people who just does stuff whether I like it or not.

Hi Gail: I have done 8 of those flushes and the benefits far outway the

dislike of the taste.

Just hold your nose and gulp it down. Make sure it is good and cold. You can

also freeze your tastebuds if you want. Just keep ice in you moth long enough

to make everthing numb.

Why are you taken it at 2pm? Her instructions say not to eat after 2pm but

start your first salt drink at 6pm

Hope this helps

If you can't get it down (I have trouble getting it all down too as

well), then you can substitute magnesium citrate instead of epsom

salts. Magnesium citrate is available at your local drugstore and

looks like a bottle of cough cyrup. It tastes like something between

soda pop and cough medicine. I've had good results while taking

magnesium citrate instead of epsom salts....

I mixed Newman's lemonade with the Epsom salt mixture and it was still disgusting but I got it all down. I had great results in the cleanse, too. I read that the Epsom salt opens the bile ducts. Does the Magnesium do the same?

Hey that sounds like a great idea! How many capsules do you think

you'd need? I did that with the oregano oil...its the ONE thing I

absolutely couldnt take orally.

Barbara

> Hi Gail, You can just put it in capsules and wash down with water.

A friend of mine recently did this and it worked wonderfully. She

passed multitudes of grape size stones and many smaller ones also.

About 60. But if you whir it in a blender it reduces the size of the crystals and you can get more E. salt in a cap and have less caps. But, at 60 it is about 15 caps per serving. Two servings in p.m. and then two more servings in a.m.

I didn't take anything. Magnesium citrate is a liquid (usually

carbonated). I take half of the bottle at first, then the rest

of the bottle later on. I get more stones out with the magnesium

citrate than with the Epsom salts simply because of the fact that I

can't seem to get the full dosage of epsom salts down since it tastes

so terrible. I prefer the lemon flavored citrate as the cherry

flavored one tastes too much like cough medicine (though it should

vary between people).

I am still fairly backed up, but I have help from hot lemon water in the morning and Triphala at night.

Next time I do the cleanse I'll start on laxatives right away. I'd recommend that for anyone with a history of chronic constipation.

Thanks for asking.

Re: liver flush

What happened with the people on the list that didn't have a BM for several days after flushing? Are you ok now? Edith

The straw trick made no difference in my case. The distinct flavor still came through. Yummy...(not).

Re: liver flush

How about drinking the epsom salts thru a straw...placed at the back of your throat..would that help?

Liz. What herbal laxative did you use and at what time during the liver flush "recipe" did you take it? Before the Grapefruit juice-olive oil cocktail?

I have chronic constipation and I added a herbal laxative along

with the liver flush procedure. It was a must for me and I got

very good results.

It's much better to use fresh squeezed juice because it will blend

together better with the oil to be taken at the same time.

Hi Dale. I did use fresh squeezed juice with the oil and it tasted great. I used just a few teaspoons of Newman's Lemonade 2 hours before the oil in the Epsom salt water drink to help get it past the tastebuds and it did help.

Wow. I guess my liver flush needed some help but I didn't know it. I passed BM's at 9 or 10 in the morning of the second day (after the fourth Epsom salt dose). I will try senna next time to try to get a bowel the first day. This e-group is SO helpful.

Gratitude,

b

I use senna-25 mg. First I followed the liver flush and it said that after

taking the Epsom salts you will get a bowel movement in 1 hour. I didn't.

So that is when I took my laxative. :) I kept an eye on the next day but

was ok. However if I didn't move the next day I certainly would have

popped another one. The idea is to let all this stuff leave your system.

I had to force my system to work properly.

Note: I was the one who posted a complaint some months back that

now taking laxatives wasn't working. Since I used Homozon and dislodged

that 12 inch clump of mucus, me taking my 1 laxative now works for me.

I don't always have to wait until the next day to get a movement.
