Guest guest
I'm sure Sheri has tons on this on her website, but I can tell you why we didn't get it. 1. We think the chance of actually needing it are slim to none. 2. You can use oral vitamin K ordered online (www.birthwithlove.com) if you want to, for peace of mind. 3. Read the package insert. It's not like they give them a shot of pure vitamin K. It has benzyl alcohol and other ingredients in it as preservatives and to " make it work " . Not interested in injecting alcohol into my newborn. =) 4. There was a study linking the vit. K shot with leukemia. Although there have been others that don't link the two, it was enough to make me stop and think. Melinda C.
