Re: How to get rid of the sulfur smell?

I live alone so not sure about the smell. No one at work has ever asked. Taking

internally is quite simple including link. If you bought pharmaceutical grade

you can capsule what you have and take. Perhaps using the sulfur in shampoo or

soap would not be as pungent. Also I use bag balm and whip some sulfur in for

bedtime, put anywhere you feel necessary then wash in morning. I would also add

MSM to you diet this is also sulfur. Take both won't hurt.

I relied mainly on MSM in capsules, so those don't smell at all. I did make a cream with hand cream, MSM powder and tea tree oil which was powerful. It had a smell, but no one seemed to notice or comment. For a year we were fairly isolated, at least I was initially, and my husband has complained about smells from Eucalyptus, tea tree oil, and other strong oils I use. He recognizes it is important to use them. Flowers of Sulpher has a strong smell, unlike MSM which doesn't smell. If the clothing does not come clean from the smell, start using baking soda in your wash, at least a cup in each load to get the sulpher smell out. That might do the trick. You could use this on the body too. If that doesn't work, how about doing Febreeze on your clothes... Re: How to get rid of the sulfur smell?

Thank you, Lynn. It seems like the car is ok after a few days, what

is not ok are my clothes. And I can't afford to get rid of them all,

so I wonder if the coffee grounds would work in my clothes too.. I

guess I'll have to give it a try.. rather smell like coffee than

sulfur! Thanks a lot for the advice.

Spread coffee grounds into the floor and seat of car. Let

it set a few days to obsorb the smell before vaccuming. If

it is a nice car than don't bother. If the coffee grounds

were to get wet they could stain everything, but I don't

think a permanent stain. Does anyone know if the grounds

got wet if the stain would be permanent?

Here is a link to a great odor aliminator and stain

remover made from Limes. http://www.drugstore.com/templates/browse/default.asp?catid=47514 & trx=GFI-0-EVGR-MCN & trxp1=47226 & trxp2=47514 & trxp3=2 & trxp4=ML

Wash clothes with this and Dr. Bronners Pepperment soap

with what ever else you are using also. That will help

kill smells and deter bugs and more pleasant smelling to

boot. Just a dribble of the pepperment soap.

Thank you, . I have been washing my clothes with a bunch of stuff: Arm & Hammer detergent, baking soda, borax, and even added some softener with fragrance to see if that helped. I can't smell the sulfur, but my family can... my brother even says he could tell where I'd walked because I left a trace of sulfur! I have no idea how it can be so strong after washing with all that stuff and not using it for over a month.. after morgellons, this is all I needed, another problem! oh well.. thank you for the advice, though!

Thank you, healinghope. I already finished a bottle of MSM tablets and a whole container of topical MSM body lotion, so I've been using it quite a bit. I have also used apple cider vinegar and baking soda internally... and some other stuff like cayenne pepper, epsom salts, the ESP soaps, sea salt, Dr Bronners soaps, and whatever else that is not outrageously expensive. I have seen improvement, especially after moving like 15 times.. and nobody, not ONE person, has gotten ill.. thank God. I feared the worst, but it doesnt seem to be contagious except maybe through a vector. Anyway, I no longer feel the daily pins and needles in hands and feet, plus joint pain in my fingers, only rarely. I hope it really is gone.. although I fear I cannot drink alcohol, which I like to do once in a while..

I think I might have read about other people talking about the sulfur smell... so far the only replies have been from those who didn't have any complaints.. who were those who had people smell the sulfur? Was there anyone?

Thanks a lot..On Tue, Sep 14, 2010 at 5:54 AM, healinghope <mfrreman@...> wrote:

Have you really moved about 15 times? How long have you been dealing with mites? How long did you stay in one place? I am thinking about moving. I would have to stay at least a year until the lease ran out. When the environment really gets bad I want to leave. I love my house and when the environment gets better I want to stay. I had delayed dusting the crawl space becauses it was full of insulation. The kitchen area above the crawl space has always been a hot spot. Finally paid someone to remove the insulation and put down delta dust so the mites really attacked me last night. They seemed to be everywhere. Things are somewhat better today but even better away from home. I must use the fogger today in order to get some relief. moved and seems to have problems in her new apartment too. This is so difficult. I received phenomonal sample

in the mail today. Praying it will make a difference. Thank you all for being an ear. God Bless !

Hi, I moved 15 times but not because of the mites, I just bounced

around on the way back home. I am originally from Mexico, but I

lived in NYC for 10 years. I never had a problem in the building I

lived (lived there for 5 years without a single infestation) until I

acquired a piece of wooden furniture that was infested with some

strange spider-like monster. That was my vector for morgellons. It

was not a regular spider--I never saw a spider web and they actually

buried in the wood and in my skin. God knows what the hell it was,

but they all died with boric acid. However, they left fiber spiders

and other monsters as they died, aka, morgellons. I've been dealing

with this for less than 6 months.

Anyway, I moved from THAT building because it was old as hell (over

100 years old and had terrible ventilation and humidity, plus

leaks...) so the mold was multiplying horribly.. I began seeing

yellow stains on the ceiling, and white paint-like spots on the

floor. If your house is well ventilated and doesn't have these

problems, I would not move. I'd try dry steam-cleaning first,

clearing all the clutter, plus putting your clothes in plastic

containers, and protecting other belongings with thick vinyl. That

made my life much easier in that building. I put my clothes in a

vinyl organizer and put moth balls in it. I began finding dead

spiders where the moth balls were. The clothes I put in there were

free from all the monsters.. and I switched my cotton bedsheets and

purchased satin ones. Put my blankets away and used a heater in the

winter. I also used canola oil which is a natural pesticide.

Now, why did I move 15 times? I stayed at the YMCA for a week

because I gave up my apt 1 week before my flight. I spent each day

in a different room (and moved floors as much as possible just out

of terror..) so I counted those moves. Then I flew to Texas to my

brother's place. Then we drove through the border to Mexico and

stayed with some relatives in northern Mexico. Then I went down

south to stay with my other siblings there. Then I moved to Mexico

City with an aunt just visiting. Then I stayed at my father's

another 2 weeks. Finally settled down in Mexico City. So that

bouncing around was not intentional to get rid of the mites, but

rather a process of moving back home and seeing family all over

after all these years.. thankfully nobody in my family got

anything.. But one person in NYC did. The maintenance guy who

cleared my apartment was my friend. I called him a few days ago, and

he told me that about 2 weeks after he cleared my apt, he began to

feel crawlings all over. I have no idea what it could have been..

but when I was clearing my apartment, I felt re-infested as I went

through areas that I had not touched in weeks out of fear. I had my

safety areas and my danger zones.. so when I had to go through

everything, I did feel a re-infestation, and right in the middle of

that process, I met with some friends for a good-bye night, and I

did notice they didn't stop scratching their face (ears, nose, eye

brows, etc) the minute we met.

Anyway, the biggest thing (I think) was moving from a mold infested

apartment with old wooden floors (that were probably also mold

infested.) All that humidity didn't affect me until a vector arrived

and wrecked havoc with my immune system. If your house can be

cleaned and doesn't have all these problems, I probably would not

move from there. Just make the environment unfriendly, like some

people here have. They've used dehumidifiers, dry steam-cleaners,

borax, pine oil, cedar oil, vinegar, enzyme cleaners, orange plus,

etc.. avoid cotton and iron your clothes and bed. All those things

helped a lot. I know it's tons of work, and that's what finished me.

But it's all I cared for at the time.. to be rid of those beasts.

Best of luck

Hmmm.. I would think that coffee internally makes your body more

acidic and that attracts the bugs.. but I'm no expert, so no idea,

just speculation..

Jessie If I thought I would stink a little and still get rid of this creature I

would choose to stink:) Although none of my coworkers have said anything,

perhaps just being polite:) Have you considered MMS baths to?

Try fels naptha borax and wash soda for your clothes. I would also add some

liquid lye soap.

Hi Lynn & poster

How are you ?

Tobacco they claim keeps the bug repelled , 1 poster spread it ll over the house

& it helped , warthogs & pigs chew tobacco & spit the juice on their skin to

stop bugs.

I boil all my clothes 2 hrs w/ water in a big steamer pot with 2 bricks in the

pot on top of the clothes to wieght them down & 2 clorox bottles on top of the

lid to hold the lid down , it is so sure to have boiled clothes ! ,then washed

in arm & hammer powdered laundry soap 1 cup per wash & 1/2 cup borax & or 1/2

cup epsom salts .

The same mix is great for 30 min baths in the tub too , then rinse , drain tub &

refill using 2 tbls cococnut oil & enjoy , it heals the skin & stops all

crawling . I haven't felt any crwling now in 240 days since using the cococnut

oil a few times in the tub, & the borax baths. I also spray this mix

1/2 cup borax

& or 1/2 cup epsom salts

48 oz water

2 tbls coconut oil

This spray is almost invisible on whilte or light surfaces & stops bug

instantly ,

God bess you Lynn,

Bill

ps I shower before baths & spray a littl dawn dish soap in tub to kill bugs. ,

soak my belt daily in A & h soap for 10 mins, I sleep onan air mmatress the has

been deflted & soaked in arm & hammer powdered laundry soap 1/2 cup ina 5 gallon

bucket for 15 mins - 8 hrs , then I rinse it in the shower & lay it on the floor

thet has been sprayed with the above mix, I se t a hairfryer on atray & it

dries in 10 mins , then I use the hair dryer on cool shot to inflate the air

matress ....ahhhhh ! No bugs Praise God !

Consistant washing with borax will eradicate the bug , little by little they

dissapear till there is none : this is attrition , it works

Jess,

I haven't posted in quite sometime, but this is something I can personally testify to. I also tried the Humco sublimed flowers of sulphur powder. I applied about a teaspoon of the powder mixed in with ordinary body lotion. This odor permeated my clothes and dryer and I finally threw out the articles that I wore while using it because washing them over and over didn't remove the odor. I also cleaned out the dryer and I didn't use the Humco again. Doe (Bill) mentioned this also but since others have not noticed this problem perhaps there are brands that have removed the offensive odor through a special processing.

What I was able to use was Azure sulphur soap bar (10% sulphur). I still noticed a slight scent of sulphur but it wasn't nearly as strong or pungent as the flowers of sulphur powder. I feel the suphur soap and MSM internally was a significant part of killing these beasts for us. Taking MSM internally (1,500 mg in a glucosamin-chondroitin tablet) produced no problem with the odor and I continue taking these even though I no longer use sulphur soap. We also took antibiotics during our "healing time" which may have contributed to the reduction in symptoms. Although it was prescribed for an upper respiratory condition, I thought at the time it may have played some part in helping us rid our bodies of these things.

We've been "symptom-free" for quite sometime now but I will never feel "safe" ever again. I will say that it a tremendous comfort to not have to go through all the protocol we had to go through during our nightmare. I wish all of you success and pray you will find success. My feeling is that diligent and persistent efforts do finally pay off.

Good luck in your continued success, Jess.

Hi JessIf you combined it with Vaseline I would think that would stick to clothing. If you combined it with some sort of handcream that would wash out. With Vaseline it probably wouldn't wash out. It is just a suggestion, but I'm sure you won't be using it any more so as to not offend family. Do they believe you that you have a problem? I know certain oils bug my husband too, like the Eucalyptus. He hates it. I love the smell. Yeah, my daughter loves skunk smell... so we are all different. I hate it. Hi ,

Initially, they did believe I might have something, but now they

think it's all mental. The negative lyme test and the fact that they

don't see anything strange or abnormal in my skin is what makes them

believe I have nothing. I don't have any rashes or other symptoms,

except the black specks and almost microscopic fibers coming out of

my skin when I put on alcohol or vick. I love the smell of

eucalyptus, can't believe your husband tolerates the sulfur and not

the natural oils! haha.. oh well.. It's been about 5 people in my

family that have noticed the smell. I wonder if soaking the clothes

with a bunch of stuff might do something... thanks!

helpnynow@ Perhaps yours is pharmaceutical grade? It should be odorless if

designed for ingestion. When I googled humco that post is what I read.

jessie lyme test are unreliable you may very well still be infected. Tell your

family to read up on lyme and they may change their minds! I believe my family

would have been the same if my test would have been negative. Even with a

positive test they still did not understand why after a couple of weeks of

antibiotics I was not better:(

Thanks, Marie. I know those tests are unreliable. My father got

angry when he found out he had spent $200 in something unreliable,

but I just didn't know at the time.

My whole family began thinking that this was all mental after the

$% & ##$ dermatologist and psychiatrist I saw tried to treat me

for delusions and prescribed anti-psychotics.

I think those doctors were just a curse.. the cost, they treated

nothing, and they convinced everyone that I had nothing. It was

probably a big mistake to have gone to see them in the first place.

But once I save enough, I will get testing at Metametrix labs and

lab corp, and if I find I have this bacteria+fungus+monsters, I will

shove it on everyone's faces. I even feel like going back to the ER

where the doctor who saw me sent me straight to the psychiatric ER.

Thanks.

Jessie I know where you are coming from. Listen to your body. But I must caution

with the medical society mentioning anything that would lead then to believe

DOP, they are quick to jump on that. I felt like I got no respect until the

positive test for lyme, it is so unfair the ignorance with this disease.

In the beginning of this jess I went to a psyche at Kaiser. I was so afraid I would deliver this nightmare to their chairs and other patients. She was not supportive whatsoever. Don't feel bad, I did the same thing... okay? This experience is so over the top we are grasping at straws, so how were we to know who would help? Re: Re: How to get rid of the sulfur smell?
