Guest guest
Do your scratches look like this picture? If so, you may have Bartonella. I did and scratches also.http://www.lymedisease.org/lyme101/coinfections/bartonella.html Scratches Hi - is anyone getting scratches on a regular basis? I have started to get more scratches on my skin the last week and I'm not sure why. Only thing I can think of is that I ran out of MSM and waiting to receive it on the mail. Also, I'm wondering is it something already under my skin being killed off is disturbed or something that is on my skin going internally. What do you think? Guest guest
Thanks for sending that link . My scratches doesn't look like this. They are more likes cat scratches, very thin. > > Do your scratches look like this picture? If so, you may have Bartonella. Guest guest
I had scratches big time. I can also tell you that I took MMS and had chills fever diarrhea and the next day I had streaks or scratches coming from my stomach area. Honest to God truth here. Yes scratches are part of this for me. I had 2 types, ones that looked like stretch marks and ones that looked like a cat scratch. Here is what I contributed those " scratches " as. Not intended to freak anyone, but this is what I will probably deal with for many years and on if not the rest of my life. Lyme is easier to treat than some of the co-infections, bartonella being just one. There are over 100 co-infections with lyme not yet isolated. Keep in mind the pics below are just a few I have looked at, many look like a cat scratch as well. Never bitten by a tick? I believe this is being carried with many vectors, unfortunately our dogs and cats also being a vector:( Fleas and ticks infect are pets with bartonella. Why could fleas not infect us? http://www.sewill.org/symptoms.html http://www.flickr.com/photos/alicat4377/2563910060/ Bartonella can manifest in a many symptoms and is also carried by cats. Infections of Bartonella are more difficult to cure and can be chronic in duration. Most often the symptoms are more neurologically oriented. Infection usually beings with swollen glands, flu symptoms and sometimes a rash. Migraines, long-term fatigue, seizures, dimentia, neurological disorders, brain fog, joint aches and pains and arthritis can also occur. Bartonella Quintana is known as trench fever and Bartonella Henselae is referred to as cat scratch disease because it can also be transmitted by cats. Many doctors are unaware that Bartonella exists as a tick-borne illness. > > > > Do your scratches look like this picture? If so, you may have Bartonella. Guest guest
Signs and Symptoms http://columbia-lyme.org/patients/tbd_bartonella.html Warthin Starry stain showing B. henselae in cardiac valve of a patient with endocarditis. The bacilli appear as black granulations. Photo courtesy of Pierre Houpikian and Didier Raoult, Unit des Rickettsies, Faculte de Medecine de Marseille, Marseille, France Cat scratch disease is caused by the transmission of B. henselae to humans by a flea bite or the scratch of a cat. Cat bites may be implicated as well. A week or so after exposure, a papule forms at the transmission site and then usually develops into a pustule. In immunocompetent people, the systemic symptoms of cat scratch disease are usually limited to regional adenopathy, though it can also cause fever and, more rarely, eye disorders, hepatosplenic infection, osteomyelitis, and encephalopathy. Immunocompromised patients, such as those with HIV, can develop more serious manifestations such as endocarditis and bacillary angiomatosis (tumor-like masses caused by the pathological proliferation of blood vessels). The clinical manifestations of tick-transmitted bartonellosis are essentially unknown. They may resemble cat scratch disease, take other clinical forms, or be benign. It is also unclear if Bartonella co-infection with other tick-transmitted organisms can result in more serious illness; some of the few reported cases of concurrent B. burgdorferi and B. henselae infection in the medical literature appear to suggest this could be the case. Thus, it may be prudent to consider the possibility of Bartonella co-infection in cases of poorly resolving or apparent relapsing Lyme disease. > > > > > > Do your scratches look like this picture? Guest guest
My scratches didn't look like the picture on the website and I also had Bartonella. Just thought it might help Tessi to see a picture. Anytime there are scratches I would wonder however if it wasn't Bartonella, since there may be various strains. Guest guest
Lynn You have said I think this started for you with fleas? Correct? They vector bartonella, so do ticks. Fleas are the main vector with domestic pets. > > > > > > Do your scratches look like this picture? If so, you may have Bartonella. Guest guest
I know that IGenex tests for babesia and bartonella asI saw those listed on their sheet when we were tested for Lyme. I didn't get tested for it-- just the Lyme. A doctor who is trained with detecting Lyme could do a diagnosis based on symptoms and treat for it. My Lyme doc had me taking Samento for Bartonella and Artemisinin for the Babesiosis (from Allergy Research Group). There are other treatments with western medical doctors, but doubt if they could diagnose either of those co-infections. Have you been tested for Lyme Tessi? Guest guest
I'm seeing a local (3 hours away) ilads dr. on Monday. I was wondering...should I tell him about the mite problem? Or just discuss symptoms etc. I do not have the money for the co infections testing ($1,050)...do you think using the herbs you listed would help? Is that all your doctor treated you with? I know you aren't a doctor...just wondered what you thought. Thank you. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Do your scratches look like this picture? Guest guest
I was taking two antibiotics for the Lyme for 8 months and then she added in much later Samento, 15 drops 3 x day for Bartonella and Artemisinin from Allergy Research Group, 5 caps 2x/day for Babesiosis. That is a lot of Artemisinin! 10 caps a day, you could try it--Artemisinin is not cheap and neither is the Samento. Resist getting a cheaper brand. Dr. didn't like the brand I had purchased already of Samento, would have rather I purchased Allergy Research. I still have lots of bottles of both of these and will take them if I need them. Do you have Lyme? I suppose if you go to an ILADS doctor they will test you for Lyme since that is what they do. You might want to tell him/her that you have had mites. Most of them know that other vectors can deliver Lyme and co-infections. I told my doctor. She knew the whole story. Good luck! Guest guest
What state are you in les lee? Good for you for going to an ILADS doctor. Do what Marie recommended, don't bring in specimens... even with an ILADS doctor, although I brought in lots of microscope pictures to my doctor, she has a particularly open mind. Guest guest
No I haven't yet, but it sounds like it may be a good idea to get some testing. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Do your scratches look like this picture? Guest guest
If you think your symptoms are Lyme & Co as I call it:) Do not be discouraged with negative testing, the test are not reliable. and I both have given good labs. The one listed is the best. I did test positive through lab corb but many say their testing in unreliable. http://www.igenex.com/ > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Do your scratches look like this picture? Guest guest
Not sure if you are asking or me? will chime in to won't you dear:) Love I have not had much success with herbs, others have. I would recommend vibactra from Wolf Creek for a natural antibiotic if it were me. All the other things I have posted and I believe you have read. I also did Adizone, Derma Nerv, Life Cell support. http://wolfcreekranch1.tripod.com/vibactra.html > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Do your scratches look like this picture? Guest guest
I'm in IL. out in the boonies...=) Thanks for the advice. I can only afford the Lyme test - sure praying for a negative. Did your husband have Lyme too or just you? Curious if everyone is going to need to be tested... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Do your scratches look like this picture? Guest guest
I'm asking anyone willing to give me advice! =) Thanks. If you were to treat this naturally - how do you know if it gets better or is eradicated? This whole thing has blown my mind...I used to be very determined, self reliant, and I thought strong...now I cry and haven't the faintest idea about what to about anything... I'm ready for this to be over now! =) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Do your scratches look like this picture?
