THE EYES HAVE

IT!

Tuesday, 29 November 2011

You can tell a lot about a person you meet

for the very first time by looking right into their

eyes. A person's eyes light up and sparkle when

they're in a good mood or when they're laughing. And

likewise, when a person is sad about something, you

can see the sadness in their eyes, too. Have you ever

been in love? Oh, I'll just bet your significant

other can see that love reflected in your eyes when

the two of you are together. Ahhh, true love!

Looking into someone's eyes

is my way of getting to know a person before they

utter even the first word to me.

I've always been an eye-to-eye kind of person. During

the course of my life, I've stared into the eyes of,

I'm sure, millions of people. In fact, looking into a

person's eyes is my way of getting to know someone

before they utter even the first word to me.

Now I must tell you, many times I find myself looking

into really sad eyes. For instance, people who

haven't taken very good care of their bodies and

gained weight as a result, always seem to have sad

eyes. These people look at me with that ,

can you help me look in their

eyes. And you know my mission. I want to help every

one of the people who give me that look to get better

and lose the weight they need to lose.

When I see someone I know who's gotten off track with

their weight-loss efforts, I get a sad look in my own eyes. But you

know what? I do my best to hide that look because,

hey, who needs both

of uslooking sad?

Every day, as I count my blessings and plan my new

day, I begin by looking into the mirror and directly

into my eyes. I tell myself, first thing in the

morning what a productive and positive day I'm going

to have.

What do your eyes say about

you?

Now let me ask, what do your eyes say about you?

Today, have you looked at yourself in the mirror, into

your eyes and had a positive talk with yourself? I

think that talk will help change what you see in your

eyes. Yes...be positive, like me! When you

do, your sad eyes will begin to sparkle with joy and

happiness as you plan a healthy day for yourself.

You know, some people come into Slimmons with sad

eyes. And the first thing I say to myself is that it

just won't do! I get to work changing their sadness

into gladness. And just as soon as I put on that

first song and we get those bodies of ours moving,

their sad eyes begin to glow with

happiness. Hey, nothing chases that sad look away

faster than some good-for-your body and fun sweatin'!

I hope your eyes sparkle today!

Love,
