Guest guest
TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS... Saturday, 24 December 2011 When all through the house, not a creature was stirring...WAIT! Who ever wrote that little poem, I wonder? Okay, I Googled it and saw that Twas The Night Before Christmas was written by a poet named Clement , way back in 1822. I'm willing to bet, there'll be a lot of cute little creatures stirring at your house tonight. Well obviously, Christmas must have been a much quieter holiday for Mr. and everyone else back in the early 1800's. Hey, I'm willing to bet, there'll be a lot of cute little creatures stirring at your house tonight...including you! Oh, I can see you now. Making sure that turkey is coming along nicely in the oven. You're gonna surprise everyone by baking homemade bread from scratch so you wanna get to work on it tonight. And on top of all that, you're trying your best to get your children to bed. Oh, they're so excited. "Hey, you kids! Off with the TV now. You've got to get to bed. Santa's not coming until you're all sound asleep." (LOL. Our parents used to tell us the same thing!) Are all of your presents wrapped and beneath the tree? Did you forget anyone? Is there anything else you need to get done in the kitchen? What's that? You just remembered. You forgot to pick up a bottle of your favorite salad dressing for that fabulous salad you'll be serving tomorrow? Oh, wait! I think Walmart is open 'til midnight. You can still make it if you hurry! LOL. I think Santa is looking just a wee-bit, uhhh..."jollier" this year than he did last Christmas. And oh yeah, one more thing. Since this poem is all about you know who...Santa, you can't forget to leave a coupla homemade chocolate chip cookies and a glass of ice-cold milk out for him. On second thought, you know what? I think Santa is looking just a wee-bit, uhhh..."jollier" this year than he did last Christmas. (Mrs. Claus thinks so, too!) So I've got a better idea. Instead of milk and cookies, I think you should leave Santa a little tuna salad made with a low-fat mayo and a few low-sodium saltines on the side. (Pssst! Leave his treat next to the treadmill.) Hey, we've gotta make sure Santa's healthy so he can keep visiting us for many more Christmas holidays to come, right? HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!
