Guess what happened. After I sent my last post I went to the store for some munchies my stomach was crying for - o k, cigs too. When I walked out the door I heard something rattling in the garden, I stopped & a skunk ran out of the bushes & under the shack next door. Then, as I went through the gate voila, another skunk this time with his head in my garbage bag ! He was so busy digging in the garbage bag that he didn't see me coming so I had to yell & slap my hands together to get his attention, then he ran away.

Pattycakes, I need a possum flinger bad. Or maybe you could sent me "A Guide to Possum Flinging"

SuZie

Hi Guys,

SpYke & I are doing fine. I had an appointment with Dr Idiot last week so I asked him about trying tx again & he said no. Then he said I should ask the G I but he thought he'd say no too.

I've been sleeping a lot lately, I've got to get into a Lactulose regime, I thought I had but I could be wrong. When you take lactulose at this dosage can you ever stop taking it? Seems to me that you're body would get used to it & stop doing it itself, right?

Hey Patticakes, how's your flinging arm? The skunks here are out in force, eating everything in sight to get their hibernation fat on board. Last week I almost got skunked twice ! Haven't seen one in months, then 4 in 2 days! One was on it's own & almost got hit by a cab, the other three were hunting food together - there were two then the third came running across the street to play with his friends. I need a possum flinger before SpYke meets the new black & white kitty, I don't think he'd stand for a tomato juice bath.

Love Ya,

SuZie & Sir SpYke the Fuzzy

I keep meaning to ask someone what Lactulose is? also, if you're not

in treatment, do you take any meds?

I still have so many questions..

Thanks,

Debi,

When your liver is damaged it can't clean your blood of toxins as well as it used to.Lactulose is a laxative that washes through you so fast it takes them with it so they don't build up in your system. The main problem is ammonia.

There's a thing we lucky heppers get a lot, we call it brain fog, the docs call it hepatic encephalopathy. You forget stuff, everything from what you meant to ask your doctor to the route home. No kidding, I can name one member who forgot how to get home from the supermarket, a drive she'd been making for years. I have to write everything down or I forget, that's why I lost my last job, I could never get to work on time. This happens because Ammonia has built up in your system. The lactulose helps with that. From the sounds of your daughter, she may need it, ask the doctor. It can keep you from sleeping your life away like I've been doing lately. It can also keep you from going into a coma, something I had no idea about until my doctor told me.

Lactulose is an over the counter drug here in Canada but it's prescription in most states. I had my doctor write me a prescription because my Disability covers all prescription drugs - costs me $2 per script & I was paying $30 for it OTC, saves me $28/litre.

Take care,

SuZie & SpYke

I may be new but being from Austin, Texas I can give advice on skunks.

My dog was sprayed three times last year. I checked the internet and

it suggested hydrogen peroxide and dawn. It worked really well. My dog

wasn't too happy though.

SpYke bites me when he's happy I can just imagine what he's do if I drenched him with tomato juice. Thanks,

SuZie & SpYkeNext time I'm coming back as a cat

Pour cans to tomato juice on the cat. That is what we use here for skunk deoderant and it works great.I have only used it on dogs and I would hate to do my cats cause they bite when a bath happens.

Hey there Zappers,

Haven't posted much just a lurker Just had a new ICD put

in last week, the battery was wearing out already (less than 2 years).

My Medtronic unit is a bi-ventricular for CRT. Its a Concerto model,

has all kinds of bells and whistles, including a sensor that tells me

when too much fluid is building up due to CHF. Have a followup

appointment with the EP next week and with the Cardiologist the week

after to do an echo and update labs. Feeling pretty good, need to

exercise more, lose weight and all that good stuff.

Hi Molly,

Thanks for stopping by to say hello. I am having a very wonderful holiday

season, thanks. I am disappointed to hear that you missed a day of Life Lift

breathing, as it is so important to do it every day no matter how busy you are

and as this day is lost to you forever. We only get to live through one day of

our lives ONCE, and that's all. I ALWAYS do my Life LIft breathing every day.

In fact, I have not missed ONE DAY of it for the last 10 months because it has

become so automatic to me. So don't miss your Life Lift breathing ever again

O.K.? My philosophy is that you can never get too much Life Lift breathing into

each day, but that you can miss out on so much good health if you don't get

enough, or worse yet, if you don't get ANY, even if on only one day!!!

Happy New Year, sweetheart, and thanks once again for stopping by to say hello

to all of us. We value your participation in our wonderful Life Lift group so

very much that none of us would ever be able to express how much to you.

Love always,

Pat

Checking in

Hope you all had a wonderfull Holiday. Am traveling right now so

finding time to be online is harder to do . And i missed a day of doing

my life lift breathing : O ( . Hope none of you missed your's at this

busy time of year.

Hi Molly,

I am so glad that I am such an inspiration to you and to everyone else. I just

love Life Lift and wouldn't not live through a day without doing it. I want

everyone else to be as devoted to Life Lift as I am. It is the absolute

greatest thing I have ever come across yet, and I want everyone to feel the same

way I do.

I have not gotten to post until now, as I have been very busy, so please excuse

my two day delay in getting back to you, my sweet Life Lift friend!!! I hope

that you have a most happy and Life Lift filled 2007!!

Love always,

Happy new year !

Fall and early winter have been very mild

here, although apparently coastal weather patterns are going to flip flop, so

we may be in for some cold and snow, but that’s ok by me!

The patients are doing pretty well, about

7 weeks into protocol. One is boil free x 3 4 weeks; the other has fewer and

smaller boils that don’t last long. I’m hoping to update whole

UNDA group as I do some office catch up this week. Thanks for hooking me into

this product and checking in on progress. How are your patients doing?

Warm regards,

Penel

Hi Penel and Happy New Year!

I hope the east coast winter is not being too harsh on you.

It has been unusually cold here in PDX, but we finally have a break with balmy

temps in the 50's today, although my preference is for sun and cold

vs. rain and warmer temps.

I just wanted to check in to see how your MRSA patients are

doing. Mike said you did in fact put them on a protocol. How's it

going?

If there is anything I can do for you let me know. Hope your

holidays were happy and restful.

Yea!! Kassia's back (at least sort of)!! I was wondering where you were! Good luck finding a job to fit your hours. I'm sure that must be hard!

I think I need to visit Target this week... sounds like good stuff, I hope they have it at ours too!

Welcome back Kassia!

checking in

hi all, hope you remember me!!! . our computer is done for. the motherboard fried again, and we refuse to replace it AGAIN, so come tax time after we make a couple car payments and insurance paid off, we will be looking for a new one. so i will once again be gone until i can get back up and running.

i hope you are all doing well with workouts and eating. my eating is horrible and its mostly emotional so i have to work on that. been looking for work and pretty much told they don't want me b/c i won't work certain hours, but i do have a kid to take care of and nobody to help with that, and dh is working tons of different hours so his schedule is unreliable for that. i just applied with the school so hopefully this will be the one. workouts i have been trying some new rotation ideas doing 2 days on with one day all cardio, the next all weights(or maybe a circuit workout but weights the primary focus) and the third day either yoga, pilates, or tai chi. i got david dorian ross fro netflix and its really great. i actually like him alot better then scott cole. just trying to keep from over doing it and i was putting to much pressure on myself to workout twice a day and it was really bringing me down when i didn't get that yoga in so this way i keep it open. if i want to fine if not thats fine too. but eating is the real issue i have to work on.

i got a bunch of workouts this xmas. my sister got me dance of the inches calorie blast/15 min express two pack. GREAT dance workouts.mom got me the firm boot camp, both biggest loser dvds(which are great i do recommend and all shorter workouts so you can mix and match), and the new denise austin bootcamp(no opinion yet havent done it) and a little gift for myself, target is having their little "dollar"spot sale but its really $2.50 now.they have kathey kaelher workouts dvds, cds, mats, blocks, water bottles. i got myself new yoga blocks and the dvds. i am doing pretty good there LOL. plus with adelphia becoming comcast in our area they are giving us digital cable for free for one year so i have fittv again. i have been recording namaste yoga, haven't tried them but dying too. they look fabulous. i hope you all got some good stuff this xmas and had a blessed time with family. we had a ball, so did viola!!!

i will try to keep up on weekly check in's using mom's puter now that the holidays are over and things have slowed down. it helps me to keep accountable and i hope to give folks some new ideas. try to check back soon

Hi Kassia good to hear from you! Sorry to hear about your computer, but it's good that you can use your Mom's. You got some great gifts for Christmas, I don't know about any of those workouts so am looking forward to hearing your reviews. The Namaste yoga is very good, I hope you like it.

Good luck with the eating.

Hi Kassia!

Of course we remember you - missed you, too!! I hope

that you can become a " regular " again soon. Also,

good luck on the job search. It is very hard to find

work that matches your kid's schedule - that is for

sure. I'm lucky that where I work they are very

flexible (I worked here before kids) - especially,

since my DH, like yours, can be all over the map in

terms of workout hours so there is no consistency or

guarantee of him being able to be around. It is

getting trickier now that we're in pre-school, and

have to coordinate all that, too!

Good luck!!

Hello All,

I had my flu shot as usual but it must have been for a different kind of flu cause I've got it now. Slept the clock around yesterday & haven't had to take the Lactulose all week end. Wonderful. I think I'm going to get back on the couch, wrap myself in the afghan my Mum crocheted, drink chicken soup & feel sorry for myself cause there's no one to take care of me.

My Mum & Dad both have it too. Last time I got sick Mum brought me chicken soup (home-made) & lemon meringue pie(also home-made) but now she's sick too. WHAAAAAAAAAA

SpYke's doing his best, cuddling up & purring but he can't make lemon meringue pie & if I gave him stuff to make chicken soup he'd eat it himself.

Hugs,
