Guest guest
I've recently joined your group. I have about 100 pounds to lose....and am working to do it. I had a baby in November2007 that was stillborn and went through a bit of a funk after that and put on 40 pounds (how do I gain weight so well?!) So now I'm working to lose it. I was impressed by the person on this list that had kept track of the number of days in a row she'd been to the gym. I'm going to do that too! I've been working seriously at losing weight for 4 weeks now and have lost 4 pounds....which in some ways kind of discourages me (why is it so hard to lose!) but then again, at least I'm moving in the right direction. I guess I wish this could all come off much faster.....it'll take me more than a year to lose the weight at this rate. I'm not doing any strict dieting. I'm trying to eat much more vegetables and fruit and less meat and carbs. Seems to be working so far! My goal is to get down to 146 pounds. Honestly, I can't even imagine getting that low. It's been, oh, decades! Guest guest
Hey Dawn! Yea that's me. I am proud that I can say I've been to the gym 40 times since I signed up, because before that I wouldn't move this blimpy body if the house was on fire. I'll be the first person to tell you I HATE exercise, but it's medicinal for me. I'm sick of being 100+ pounds overweight, tired of seats beginning to be too small for me, going up up up in clothes sizes, people looking at me like I'm a disgusting troll. Mostly I'm tired of being tired, run down, and achy. The exercise helps with that ... as does taking off the pounds. It's a hard long road, but one well worth taking. Welcome to the group and just remember, you're worth it and you CAN do it! *~*~*~* "You can deprive the body, but the soul needs chocolate" -Sapphyre *~*~*~* "Meditate. Live purely. Be quiet.
