Guest guest
Ewww!!!! I got a tick on my temple about a year ago, and got real sick from it, I cant imagine having 37!!! Maybe Australian ticks are nastier than yours?? I am not sure, though I think that we can get nasty things from ticks that have been on a kangaroo. Guess yours hadnt been near too many kangaroos huh? Hope they manage to get rid of them all soon :-) > it was a tick and I joked around how it was the first tick of the new house. > Well, then I felt another and another and another then said OMG DO NOT > MOVE!!!!!! once he started counting I had 37+ on me talk about > icky!!!!!!!!!!!!! only had 5 and Patti only had 4!!!! Why do they like > me!!! The feeling is NOT mutual Ok, not exactly the same, but this reminds me of the motel in Kingman AZ that we stayed at. Cost $8 for the night (yeah, it was many moons ago ) and we ended up sleeping in the car! It was late when we got there and dark, so we were bringing stuff in that we'd need overnight and in the morning, like the ice chest, clothes, etc. I went to use the bathroom and there were BUGS all over it! Went into the main part of the room to tell Mother and Mylaine (sister) was standing in the doorway with the ice chest and she had a COCKROACH on her head!! lol Mother said we were *not* sleeping there and since it was so late and she was too tired, we'd just sleep in the car. We laughed for hours in the car about spending $8 to sleep in the car... Deb

Since moving I've not been around any kids and i'm on home bound schooling so i don't catch things from kids at school. I probably got pink eye from the shopping carts at the store or something like that. I get it a lot they aren't sure why i get it so often maybe at some point. They haven't done too many tests on my eyes but that is kind of my fault because i don't like them messing with my eyes. My eye sight isn't bad but isn't all that great either. Here is a bit of info on Pink Eye for you. Hope your day improves!!! Jessi CONJUNCTIVITIS (Pink Eye) What is Conjunctivitis? Conjunctivitis, better known as Pink Eye, is an infection of the inside of your eyelid. It is usually caused by allergies, bacteria, viruses, or chemicals. What are the signs and symptoms? Red, irritated eye. Some burning and/or scratchy feeling. There may be a purulent (pus) or a mucous type discharge. How is it treated? It depends on what caused the Pink Eye. It may or may not need medication for treatment. If medication is given, follow the directions on the label. What else do I need to know? To prevent the spread of the infection: Wash hands throughly Before you use the medicine in your eyes. After using the medicine in your eyes. Everytime you touch your eyes or face. Wash any clothing touched by infected eyes. Clothes Towels Pillowcases Do not share make-up. If the infection is caused by bacteria or a virus you must throw away your used make-up and buy new make-up. Do not touch the infected eye because the infection will spread to the good eye. Guest guest
Jessi, I've heard that you can get pinkeye from cats...not sure if that is true or not...but I don't have any cats, and still get it pretty frequently. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure...frequent handwashing will ward off nasty pinkeye buggies....but then again, who can wash their hands all day long??? Just be careful when rubbing your eyes (myself...I have a huge problem with this) so I guess I had better follow my own advice, huh? Guest guest
Hi Jessi, It is now 10 am here.... Where do you live? Your Aunt is coming in the middle of the night?? I am also a night owl but I pay for it in the morning because 4 & 6 year olds don't sleep in!! lol I sure hope today is also better that yesterday. I have had one of those weeks that feels like everyday is a " Monday " !! I'm sure you know what I mean... and I wish I NEVER had to deal with that JERK EX of mine again. We had another " phone " fight last night! AAArrgghhhhh!!!........He is deducting $$ when he wants to or rather when he feels he has a right to from the child support... like now He got the bill for the children's daycare yearly photos and now he says he is going to deduct that amount from this months child support. I think not! I must call the lawyer on Monday... I am getting another better lawyer, NO legal aide-don't-do-S***- lawyer this time and I am taking that jerk back to court for sure!! I cannot not live under this constant stress, never knowing what amount he is going to send me for the child support.... I am at the end of my rope with HIM!!! He makes over $50,000 a year, owns his own firm, that is after taxes and he still had to be forced by a judge to pay the correct amount of child support and he never buys his girls any clothing, etc... and my only income is my disabilty, which is a measly $330 per month!! This stress is No good for all my illnesses!! Sorry for venting like that.... I am just so tired of all his games and I think the stress from dealing with him is what is keeping me from having any " good " days... :-( Hugs, in Finland > > Yep that would be it!! Guest guest
Jessi, how is your pink eye doing?? Will you get to have your fun weekend?? I hope so. April is also in limbo, too, her Grandma was going to take her to some kind of outdoor thing, where they celebrate the olden years, in costumes, butter churns, stuff like that, but there is a cold wet front coming in, 70 today, 40 tomorow, I told April we have to wait and see, cause she does not need out in it for sure. She has nine weeks left of school and her goal is not to miss any more days. Marsha

Guest guest
Jessi, glad you had a nice time this weekend. Glad your eye is almost well, it is the quickest of all infections to clear up. Well, Jessi, I do not know what I am going to do with Amber, she started feeling sick yesterday morning, just finished up the Prednisone and ZPack, and it has all come back, the coughing, sinus headaches, yellow snot, mild wheeze, man, she is really getting frustrated. I will call her PP tomorow and I am hoping he will coming into Wed and I will get her in to see him. If not I will be driving to Corpus Christi to see him, forget the GP, this needs expert advise. This is so not like Amber, she is my well one. April is fine, SHHH, I am working the weeknd, spent the day sleeping. Marsha

Marsha

Guest guest
You're ahead of me - for now! I wore a dress today and went barefoot around the house (Sorry, that's ONE FlyLady rule I just don't think I'll be able to manage!). I hooked my pedometer to a pair of shorts beneath it, but for the main it doesn't seem to have registered the vast majority of my steps. Even bigger pisser? Even though I got my 7,000+ by MY midnight, apparently the website that they log steps on is on EST, so despite that last-minute push, I got shorted. BLEH! SulaBlue > > Wow Sula!! That's soo great! I have a hard time keeping my shoes on. > Even bigger pisser? Talk to them at the health club, maybe there is some way they can credit you for the steps that were not credited to the day because of the time difference. a
