Guest guest
, When I had my consult with Dr. for the growth hormone injections, he noted on my patient history that I was taking either piracetam or pramiracetam, with lucidril, parlodel & vinpocetine. He recommended I also use hydergine and deprenyl. When I told him I had reactions to them in the only pill size I could get from Europe, he gave me scrip to get 1 mg liquid for them here in the US. So, with the exception of Parlodel, he recommended all of them together. But, one has to realize that since they have a synergistic effect, one has to lower the dosages of all when taking more than one. Which is why anyone interested needs to read the three books I mentioned in my last post. They are a practical education on their uses & safe use. jim Simon -the- Jester wrote: > > Hi Jim, > > I know you've been studying this stuff for quite a while. Guest guest
Dear Jim, Thanks for the good info. I learn from you every time you post. I took Lucidril, piracetam, tyrosine, GH-3 and some others back in 1992 - 1993, and found good effects, but I felt slightly wired and stopped after about six months. I am interested in the HGH, and will investigate further to try and find out if the homeopathic encourages the brain to make it, which to my way of thinking is better than constantly adding it from outside sources, which might encourage a shut down of internal production. Have you fooled around with DHEA ? Best of Health! Dr. Saul Pressman, DCh URL: http://www.plasmafire.com email: saul@... Guest guest
Saul, Your feeling of being wired was most likely the Lucidril in that mix. Taking piracetam without also taking some form of choline as a precursor to acetylcholine makes one edgy, nervous. Taking too much Lucidril alone can also cause one to feel wired, or edgy. One has to play around with the dosages in nootropics to find one's own best level. But, most nootropics potentiate each other, so when taking more than one, dosages need to be downsized. There is an inverted U bell-curve response thing going on with nootropics. Without them one is not as alert, but too much also makes you feel foggy. When you find your right dose you feel like you're in the groove all the time. Most hormones are produced less and less as we age, but hGH is not one of them. An 80-year old has at least 75% of the production they did when 30. What decreases with age is GHRH, or growth hormone releasing-hormone. This is one reason secretagogues work so well for most (read healthier) people. The brain is making it, what we take are actually precursors to GHRH, not hGH. Actually, strenuous daily exercise, as in weight lifting or Nautilus type exercising, releases hGH almost as much as secretagogues will! The worry that taking hGH injections will interfere in any way with endogenous production is based on a feedback loop that exists with many hormones. It is certainly true with testosterone. But, it is not true with hGH. A european doctor who has been giving higher doses of injections than US doctors has found, and recently reported, that after 2-3 years he has to cut back on the doses of hGH because his patients become so rejuvenated they produce more endogenous hGH, not less! The concern is theoretical, and the empiric facts do not support that theory. I took DHEA when it first came out. I was on that bandwagon early. I took 400-500 mg daily for a while. Then we found that a proper dose was more along the lines of 50 mg daily and 25 mg pregnenelone should be taken with it. But, the freeze-frame technique, from the Heartmath Institute, that I described last week, if done 15 minutes daily for 6 weeks, DOUBLES endogenous DHEA production! Back to hGH: For people who are esentially healthy, secretagogues are all that is needed, at least into the sixties or so. Then, one might feel reversing the biological clock makes more sense than holding it at bay. The bottom line is if one is not in essentially good health, a $50 IGF-1 blood test will tell the tale & in my case made the decision to proceed with the injections. For my age & general health I should have had an IGF-1 of at least 250, but mine was 100. The target with injections is about 350, or that of a healthy 30 year old. No bad side effects have been reported at levels below 500, so we are really in the safety range! jim Saul Pressman wrote: > > Dear Jim, > > Thanks for the good info. Saul, I see there are quite a few HGH encouragers out there. All to expensive for me to try. I think I will stick with GH3. http://www.prohghsymbiotropin.com/ Dick
Guest guest
Pro HGH is the only secretagogue of which I know that has used IGF-1 blood tests to demonstrate their product works. I didn't bother to look for the price at this site, but Dr. Maher has a buy 3 get 1 free program that makes the bottom line $45 a month for this suff. It is the brand I would take if I was using a secretagogue, but I buy it from Dr. MAher at http://www.rxforwellness.com/ His free study course is very informative for those interested in hGH. jim bjs1779 wrote: > > Saul Pressman wrote: > > > > > > > > I am interested in the HGH, and will investigate further to try and find out > > if the > > homeopathic encourages the brain to make it, which to my way of thinking > > is better than constantly adding it from outside sources, which might > > encourage > > a shut down of internal production. > > Saul, I see there are quite a few HGH encouragers out there. I am just trying to get your quesstimate of how far back you reversed the ageing process. I notice the Pro HGH says it can make you 10 years younger in 2 months. Then up to 30 years younger after that. If that is true, I would hate to take it because I might get drafted again! Thanks Dick
Guest guest
Dick, hGH will not fool the draft board, and you don't have the paperwork to get drafted. I have no way to answer your aging question for several human reasons regarding subjectivity. But, I can say that 3 times in the past 2 months a woman I was flirting with had her mouth drop agape when she asked my age & I answered. I learned to flirt at age 5, with the waitress in the cafeteria on Sunday, after church, in front of my grandfather, a hell-fire & brimstone preacher. It was OK with him, so I have always felt flirting is innocent, and have flirted as much as possible ever since. So, in the last few weeks I flirted with two 50-year-old women who thought they were flirting with a younger man. And, a 40-year-old lady who thought I was about her age. All three guessed my age as early to middle forties. In the last week, my best friend, ex wife and two other close friends who see me every week or two, have all said I am looking particularly happy. Which I read as healthy because I am actually less happy since I stopped the hGH injections. One effect injections have that starts within days is the impenetrable good mood. With that stuff there is only one mood swing & it is up! WHich is not to say that my mood is down. I am quite content spiritually! All of this attention has made me look in the mirror more than usual. And, I have to admit I look a lot better than I thought I did. Better than I did last time I looked just for that. I look younger and healthier -- just what I would have been hoping for if I had been paying attention. ;-) I felt I looked 60 a year ago. But, that is a fluid yardstick we have to use. Even though most men my age look older than I do, a few look younger, but not by much. If pro hGH can make someone 10 years younger in 2 months it would have to be a healthy 40-year-old who is only mildly out of shape. hGH injections aren't supposed to work that fast. The rule with the shots is 6 months to a year to look younger. 2-3 years to rebuild your entire body, glands & organs. And, then a mild maintenance dose to maintain the health & vigor of a 40 year old til about 120-140, depending on how bad off you are when you start. But, I can tell you how to look younger in 45 days, and that is to sunbathe the top half of your body 1 hour a day for 30 days using nothing on the skin for protection. Midday sun. Since I developed this chemical sensitivity I have been dealing with for a month, I have been sunbathing daily, using the FIR lamp as required & using a wonderful skin product called Skinamins Vitamin C with MSM, by Organics. But I don't use it on my face. So, if I'm looking younger it's the sunshine, IMO. Sunshine is cheaper than growth hormone! ;-) But, I would neither look nor feel this good if I had not done injections for 9 months! jim bjs1779 wrote: > > Jim Lambert wrote: > > > Not a checklist. Jim, Certainly you know I was kidding. Thanks for the reply. This is an interesting subject to most I bet. I first heard of the HGH better than 20 years ago. The goverment did a study on it in the V.A. hospitals. Conclusion on it at that time was that it did indeed work, bigtime. Dick
Guest guest
Dick, My conclusion is the same. I had a brain injury at age 5. I am 56. I am just now getting to the starting line for the race with the help of hGH injections. There is no one else in the race. I am delighted that I am finally in it! Growth hormone fixes things whether or not you deserve it! And, for people who question if it is ethical for a rich person to get better medical care than an indigent.... well, money wouldn't mean anything if they couldnt, would it? But, you don't have to be rich anymore. It costs $11 a day for most folks. That's middle class! jim bjs1779 wrote: The > goverment did a study on it in the V.A. hospitals. Guest guest
Dear Jim I used to take that PROhGH It came in alka-seltzer like tablets, fizzed, and tasted good. Also, it caused me to feel better, but after about 6 months I quit and when I tried to call the place in Florida that made it the phone had been disconnected or something like that. How does the HGH come to you. In tablet like alka-selter resembling fizzies or just what. Also on same subject, Colostrum is supposed to have some of the same energizing properties as HGH, but I don't find it so. I do think its good stuff, but as Saul wondered, do you suppose it shuts down any part of system which is supposed to be creating the harmone . A lot of rambling here but I'm thinking I wouldn't mind getting some more of that HGH, if i could find the fizzine type.
Guest guest
OK, I'm with you people on the growth hormones, and I'm curious why no-one mentioned Arginine, Ornithine as growth hormone releasers. In terms of general health why would someone pass on the Power Maker II amino slushy w/choline and supplement DHEA /Pregenolone. Is that too simple? Power Maker II is described on www.lifeservices.com and www.lef.org

Guest guest
I have not taken Pro HGH. I went past that immediately to the injections. The injectible stuff is a dry powder that we add sterile water to. It has to be refridgerated after recombination. www.rxforwellness is Dr. Maher's website. He offers a comprehensive education on the use of hGH secretagogues. Somewhere there he also sells it & has a buy 3 get 1 free deal that makes the effective price $45 monthly, which is half what some people sell it for. jim FAMANSON@... wrote: > > Dear Jim I used to take that PROhGH It came in alka-seltzer like tablets, > fizzed, and tasted good. Guest guest
Duncan, I deliberately did not mention amino stacking because I believe it is dangerous to upset the amino acid pool balance for any specific gain. Using large quantities of any amino, or group of them, depletes others. Which means, no one knows how to safely stack aminos! A single amino out of balance starts a chain of events that I cannot recommend to someone. jim Duncan Crow wrote: > > OK, I'm with you people on the growth hormones, and I'm curious why no-one > mentioned Arginine, Ornithine as growth hormone releasers. Guest guest
No, it cannot be reconstituted one dose at a time. The smalles bottles are 4 IU which is four days for most folks. One could do 2IU a day for a while without risking anything. But, 4IU daily is too much for safety without constant testing. When I need to go somewhere I carry a small cooler with ice or freezer-paks. You'll figure it out. jim superflous1@... wrote: > > can it be reconstituted one dose at a time? > i tend to camp without the amenitiies a lot. > > Dennis > > A. : . Guest guest
Patty, IGF-1(insulin-like growth factor #1) is produced by the liver. Growth hormone never survives long enough to measure, except in a hospital environment. So, a by-product of liver metabolism in the presence of hGH is IGF-1. It is relatively stable, and a better measure of hGH in the body. jim Patty wrote: > > > > > Growth hormone fixes things whether or not you deserve it! > > Is this the same IGF-1 that has been discussed in cancer growth, or a > different hormone? > Patty >

Guest guest
Corny, What is your age? The loss of cognitive functions is grossest after 40, but it rears its head anytime after 30. WHatever loss you have experienced, it was slowly over a long period of time. Take prams for 6 months, stop for one, THEN tell me what you notice! ;-) I pay about $34 plus $12 shipping, regardles of the size of the shipment. So, I buy 3 months at a time. Which makes the prams cost less than $38 a box. But, even if I only bought one box of 20 prams for about $34 plus $12 that's only $46. Where are you buying? I get mine from http://www.qhi.co.uk You can also get a good deal from http://www.nubrain.com jim Mike E Cornwall wrote: > > I have been taking Pramiracetum (Neupramir brand ) for 18 days. Guest guest
Corny, The effects of nootropics are subtle. When someone says to me they noticed nothing I chuckle, because there is not much to notice in an obvious way. I first noticed when I was driving in heavy traffic, my reflexes were faster, like they had been when I was younger. Also, I was returning from having been literally on Death's doorstep. There are inexpensive computer programs that test cognitive function in a manner that tests the effectiveness of nootropics. When people start nootropics at my suggestion, the first thing I tell them is to take them on faith for at least a few months before making up their mind. Also, nootropics are only one ingredient. I take Olympic Labs' Phospholoba Q10, which contains essential phospholipids, fatty acids, ginko & CoQ10. Nootropics only help brain cells function normally. They still need the brain foods with which to do so. jim Mike E Cornwall wrote: > > Jim and all > I am 53 years. I was curious to find out if I had decreased brain > function.
