Very well put, Tara.

Thanks,

Hi and Welcome. I have a 5 month old daughter, so I can feel your

Anyway, I think several people who start out on this group

(including myself) were leaning toward selective or delayed vaxing,

but it really doesn't take long to be convinced otherwise, so I

would say that most people here have come to the opinion that vaxing

is bad altogether, but this is something that developes over time by

reading, reading, reading. There is not one thing that you can read

that will convince you one way or the other. It is something that

will develope over time. Learning about the diseases that you are

vaxing for is also important along with learning about your health

in general and what to do if you encounter a disease (which could

happen even if vaxed). When you become more afraid of the vaxing

(and unknown effects) than you are of the diseases (with known

effects), that is when your decision has been made.

I would highly recommend watching Sheri Tenpenny's videos. They are what

really sealed the deal for me.

Subject: Re: Introduction and " hello "

Thanks for the welcome! I know it is a tough decision. One of the

hardest of my life. Hubby and I are both leaning towards not vaxing at

all, but we are not comfortable enough with our decision to be able to

defend it well.

Hi Malia

Welcome

Start with my webpages and read intro articles first and then go thru

methodically

Or take my class where I organize it for you.

As far as crying all the time.......................she could be helped

with homeopathy.

What was your pregnancy like and birth? Any traumas for her?

Excellent question. I think it depends on what your interests are. I'm

splitting between researching stats and listening to people's

stories/experiences, since anecdotal evidence weighs heavily for me

(since I don't trust the scientific method to always capture every

truth experienced in life). People sharing on this email list give

anecdotal info., and you can also hear testimonies from people in

" alternative healthcare " (whose opinions I generally value more than

mainstream medicine) about the comparative health of vaccinated vs.

unvaccinated people.

For the data, I think it's harder. I'm starting as

middle-of-the-road/mainstream as I can, which for me is the

Vaccinations book by Aviva Jill Romm, which discusses many of the

anti-vax arguments but also talks about possible pros. Sort of. She's a

practicing herbalist so not exactly mainstream medicine. From here I'll

likely read more of the hard-core anti-vax stuff and also read pro-vax

arguments (which are nauseatingly abundant on every medical website). I

also want to get stats on disease rates in the pre-vaccination era,

specifically death rates. Because you'll hear comments like, " it's easy

to be anti-vax these days because most people don't have a memory of

how bad the diseases were. But talk to your grandparents or a doctor

who was practicing many years ago and they'll tell you that most people

feared these diseases because they knew of at least one person who had

died from them. " Well.... OK. Dying from chicken pox? Or mumps? Not

likely. What about Scarlet Fever, which we don't vax for? What diseases

did kids actually die from? So, I want to see data that supports their

statement, if there is any. Also hear testimonies about the diseases,

since you will find no shortage of testimonies about bad vaccine

reactions, and I think you need to balance it out. But you have to

weigh into that that catching one of these diseases in unlikely these

days and/or could be more easily treated than in, say, the 1940s.

My process is a slow one. I don't feel particularly rushed because the

decision for us is delayed vax vs. no vax, so we've got a couple years.

Meanwhile I'm just gathering, gathering, gathering information.

LOL... I'm guessing my answer isn't terribly helpful, since it's really

individualized. Maybe you should take others' advice...

Angie :-)

I share lots of data in my course.

Some is on my webpages but I organize it and add more in my classes
