Pam~Thank you for sharing all your pain with us. I am glad you are getting help

in a variety of ways. It took my husband 3-1/2 years of counseling to deal with

the verbal and physical abuse of his mother; unfortunately we are caretakers for

his father and he keeps bringing up a lot of the old baggage and my husband is

struggling once again. Counseling helps, as does a lot of self-help stuff for

it will help you realize old patterns that are self-destructive and unnecessary.

Glad you are doing massage~it is essential to my FMS part. Do you know you can

massage your neck and shoulders to help the tightness that comes with the

migraine stuff? You can also do accupressure~if you pinch the fatty web of your

hand between your thumb and pointer finger, count to 20, then release, it is

supposed to help migraines. It helps my carpal tunnel and tight forearm muscles

a bunch. I tried it on my father-in-law cuz his hands are curling and he won't

stretch them out, and it hurt him at first but helped loosen the muscles.

I am blessed to have been raised with loving family but overachievers, so

learned to do what most women do and that is try to do everything. Remember to

take ME time and relax every day cuz your doctors tell you to (mine does), also

learn to say NO to added responsibilities unless it's absolutely essential to

you. Yes, we have to be selfish about our health and needs or we won't get

well. This doesn't mean we have to be mean or unkind about it, just not take on

other stuff or baggage that will send us backwards. Someone else will do it or

it won't get done and it won't be a big deal but it will if you take it on.

Best wishes on your road to recovery. Be positive, be happy.
