Guest guest
I'm so frustrated and a little bit angry. We had the chance, as I had posted earlier, to expose our children to chicken pox. Since the child had been vaccinated years ago, I'm thinking that this might be " real " chicken pox instead of a vaccine shed. Anyway, we're having neighbors over tomorrow night to watch the playoff game and they're bringing kids. I asked one of the moms with whom I'm the closest, what she thought of my exposing the kids prior to our get-together. While she agreed that they wouldn't be contagious until two days or so prior to showing symptoms, she thought it was not very nice to knowingly expose people's kids to CP at all. Period. So her take on it was that my exposing my dd to this - whether it was tomorrow night or any other night - was very uncool and downright rude. She said, " ly I don't want my kids missing a week of school " They're vaxed, by the way, but everyone agrees that the CP vax isn't worth much. I said to her, " You DO realize that 10 to 15 years ago, CP was no big freaking deal and that the primary reason for this vaccine was to reduce missed work days. " She agreed but agreed that she didn't want it to mess with their busy lifestyle either. What in goodness' name is so weird about trying to expose my kids to CP? Even my dh said he thought it was strange. So I called off the playdate today but I think we'll still get the kids together on Monday and to hell with the rest of them. I'm liable to lose quite a few friendships - yet again. I'm a force to be reckoned with at the moment. Sheri B. --------------------------------- Autos. Looking for a sweet ride?
