Oh my Goodness Sheri! What did you say to this person? Doesn't just

make you want to scream! I have such trouble controlling myself when

I come accross situations like this. I was actually thrown off of a

Mommies group for what I said... (but hey it was a group of dummies

anyway... and... three Moms emailed me privately asking for more info

so... it was worth it!)

It came up on a homeschool chat once and I can only hold my fingers

for so long before I unleashed. Turns out there were many like minded

folks there so... that went smooth! LOL

I'm just curious, did you respond to this person? I don't know what I

would say! LOL :-)

increase in Autism and frankly that is awful. I am glad to hear that

vaccines with no thimerosol are available. I am anxious to see if

that reduces the incidence of Autism. But, I will never be against

vaccinations. My daughter, who is 7 has to deal with the paralysis of

Polio for the rest of her life because she wasn't given the Polio

vaccine that she needed when she was a baby in the orphanage in

Ukraine. She does tremendously well, but her life will always be a

struggle that could have easily been prevented. To see her leg

withered, shorter than the other and both legs with reduced nerve and

muscular function assures me that the Polio vaccine is very much

needed. Look at the children that haven't been vaccinated in Africa

due to the mullahs telling the mothers that the Americans and others

are trying to sterilize their children. Now, these children will

suffer, many with families so poor that they cannot get

need. They will never have the job opportunities or life

opportunities that Alena will have by being here. Yes, I am all for

freedom from gov't intrusion and I don't like the idea of the gov't

making it mandatory that we do things. But, we have to remember that

the choices we make don't just impact us, but could impact the very

life and quality of life for our children. I am finally pregnant

after 12 years and this child will be vaccinated. "

Is this mother in the U.S.? I don't understand how the conditions

and concerns in the Ukraine or Africa warrant vaccinating a child in

the U.S.? Did I miss something?

Thanks for having this group,

Josie

She's in the US, but her child is from the Ukraine (adopted). But does it

really matter? It should not really matter if we believe what we believe, right?

Well, it's hard to say something when her daughter has a withered leg from

polio, but I did say that nothing could take the chemicals out of my nephew's

brain that contributed to his autism. I've really encouraged her to at least

look at the Hep. B. vaccine for when her baby is born. Maybe she can see the

absurdity of that one and then start from there. She said she'd look into it

but that the polio vaccine was a done deal.

She also didn't realize - like SO MANY PEOPLE, that the flu shots still have

mercury! Someone needs to take an ad out in the NY TImes or something about

this!

Hmm, It is hard, but then it's not so hard to say anything once

you've done it! As much as it sucks, I think many people would rather

know about the situation than not know regardless. I have done this a

few times IRL in regards to vaccination, once with S.I.D.S. where I

was put on the spot and once with Polio - the subject came up and I

wasn't going to lie or stay quiet. It was hard, but the results in

the long run were positive. I tell it like it is quite frequently in

regards to Breast Implants. I am an exotic dancer and one of the few

people within the industry who knows these things are dangerous. I

probably see more people with implants than most people and I figured

that someone should be speaking out about them! It may not be nice

for people to hear, especially when they already have implants but

beleiving misleading information isn't nice either.

I guess it's hard to talk to someone whose child is so sick, you are

right.

You know, I once read an article in Mothering magazine (and I think

I've heard of it elsewhere also) where a mother put her son on a

certain type of diet, (organic.. .but there was more too it) like a

detox and his autism improved greatly. Have you ever heard of this?

It was in one of last years issues....

True, very true. I asked because it seems like a huge jump to

justify vaccinating against something here because of a situation

somewhere else. Yet, her reaction is exactly what the vaccine-makers

are counting on.

I'm a bit late on this one, but wanted to add my $.02. While having a daughter

who may not be able to walk very well would be heartbreaking. If I had to

chose, I would chose that over having a brain injured child anyday.

I think she hit the nail on the head about the families in countries such as

Africa and the Ukraine being very poor. Money would be much better spent

improving those poor people's living conditions as opposed to injecting their

sick and malnourished children with toxins!

And has she not heard of the documented risk of cancer from the Salk vaccine

that most of us received in our childhoods? There's ALWAYS a catch to messing

with natural immunity. And why would this woman be so adamant about her new

baby getting the Polio vax. She lives in the US, right? I hope she does some

research before her new baby arrives. Something tells me she will continue to

stick her head into the sand on the vaccine topic.

You've done your part by presenting the other side of the issue to her. " You

can lead a person to knowledge, but you cannot make him think. "

vaccines at the moment. I have taken the liberty of sharing this post since I
