Guest guest
The Acu-Cell website has some interesting info on how certain detoxifying supplements can have an effect on iron levels: " When people supplement certain herbs to " cleanse " their liver, they will always affect manganese and iron status. For instance, by taking Devil's Claw on an ongoing basis, they will eventually raise iron and manganese levels. On the other hand, taking Milk Thistle will in time decrease iron and manganese stores... " It's a great site, full of surprising info about vitamin and mineral interactions: http://www.acu-cell.com/femn.html Hope this is helpful, Dan > > > > Hi Rich and All, > > > > As you probably know I have been struggling with low Iron stores > for > > severals years and recently it has become worse by detoxing and > > bloodthinning supplements. Guest guest
Dear Rich and Dan, Thanks you so much for your responses regarding Iron levels and glutathione. I appreciate the time you took to send me some links and info. Accu-Cell had some interesting info regarding Iron, Folic and and B12 levels. I have very high RBC folic acid levels, low iron, high serum B12, and mid methylmalonic acid. Very strange. I also found interesting the link between low Iron and Ovarian cysts and that I have just been diagnosed with a Dermoid in my Ovary. I have a strong feeling the Dermoid is from low iron and not the iron infusion. Hmmm I wonder if my recent Bowens on my leg(small squamous cell carcinoma) could also be from the low Iron, too. Sounds like it especially from the info Rich sent me regarding oxidative stress, free radicals, and low ferritin/low Iron. Thanks again Rich and Dan . . very helpful. Best wishes, Sue T
