Guest guest
I received my testing prior to the labor day weekend which has allowed me time to review the results and try and comprehend the meaning of the information. ly, I am struggling with how to integrate the program into my alray complex protocol. I have developed an 8 page document that details the genetics and other other test results from Doctor's Data and Neurosciences. It includes a discussion of which elements of the Yasko program I have intergrated into my existing protocol. I offer it to anyone who wants me to backchannel it to them, as does not support attachements. The documents includes all the genes reported on from both Nutrigenomics and Genovations, ordered earlier. *Some genes identified for Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, are in the Genovations report, which was ordered earlier. However PON1, and PON2 identified for MCS are not included in either the genovations or nutrigenomics reports. I'm not sure if the CDC reported genes specific to CFS (as published in Pharmacogenomics, Apr 2006, Vol. 7, No. 3, Pages 345-354) by Suzanne D Vernon, C Reeves are not identified or included in either lab. Also the 2^nd page of the nutrigenomics report, lists a number of SNP’s with characterization pending and results to be determined.* Here are my personal reflections on the current nutrigenomics reporting for CFS patients: Dr. Amy is doing very unique and highly valuable work for all of. It will be a real blessing when Dr. Amy includes more genetics specific to CFS and MCS in the nutrigenomics panel. As things stand, it may be difficult to understand how some of the SNPs relate to the specific issues of CFS. Information includes a discussion of children’s behaviors, and the focus on moods, may be more of an indicator of progress on the program for parents of autistic children than adults with CFS. Adults have learned ways to cope with their moods and moderate them; and have other issues of importance to address. Being too ill to get out of bed is a better indicator for progress with CFS. Additionally, the energy and hours required to search for answers from a myriad of illusively titled posts is a bit challenging. I will continue search for relevant information on cognitive impairments, chronic infection, immune factors, and detox on autismanswers.com. Some issues, such as blood coagulation, or the pain associated with fibromyalgia, may not be addressed yet. Another area yet to be defined clearly is how to transition to step 1 from existing protocols. Adults who have not tolerated medicine due to impaired SNPs can begin the program with fewer concerns. Those of us who do not have those impairments and do well with some of our existing medications, are on protocols that are working well. We will have a more difficult time navigating the course. I am hoping that changes in my protocol as I begin this program, will enhance my ability to detoxify, as that is a major problem for me. Yet I began treatment with Kane’s protocol first, and continue that work as it clearly has helped me eliminate toxins. As we self-administer the program, it becomes clear that we need to help our physicians learn this. Many of us have multi-system, often complicated medical conditions, and have relied on physicians who have specialized in CFS; they really understand our complicated needs. Unfortunately, I was told Dr. Amy's GAR would not include a review of my medical history or any other testing including the Genovations panel, which seems to be far extremely relevant for CFS and MCS. That is why I had to spend so many hours, so many days, trying to create my own program. It critical for our physicians who know our medical histories to guide us on this important journey which offers us so much hope and the promise to begin re-building our lives. Please let me know if you what to see the 8 page document by sending me a back-channel e-mail. I need everyone's help in understanding what steps to take, and the best way to get there, thanks, Joanee
