Guest guest
Adrienne THe problem is NOT the chocolate (a sacred food in my estimation if it is very dark). It is the amino acid, l-Arginine, that it contains. Arginine is also found in a number of other foods like strong cheeses and I think some wines. I brought significant titres of EBV and CMV under control with officinalis tincture that MUST be made with FRESH lemon balm for the antiviral effect. I now maintain with vitamin C and l-Lysine. I still keep a gallon or so of homebrewed on hand for just in case...... I have not had a recurrence since my son died. Stress (even a strong allergic reaction) and lack of sleep can cause activation of the Herpes family of nuisances especially if the immune system is screwy. I have not had a cold sore in years, by the way..... another Herpes family member. mjh " The Basil Book " http://foxhillfarm.us/FireBasil/
