Guest guest
Hi, I am COMT+- and VDR BSM/Taq +-. In the COMT+- VDR Bsm/Taq +- section of the book it says " ... because he/she is COMT+- and VDR Bsm/Taq +-, he/she will behave more like a COMT++ individual in terms of their responses to most methyl donors... " Can anyone explain what this means ? What I am thinking is that the COMT+- will result in more methyl groups since it is downregulating the methylation of dopamine and the VDR Bsm/Taq +- will result in more methyl groups because it results in less dopamine to be methylated. Also, what are the consequences of having excess methyl groups in the body ?

Guest guest
Hi Rich, Thanks for responding. That interpretation makes sense to me. But this one from the autismanswer forum does not.
