Hi there, Just a quick update as requested: filed for disability and SSI - did it myself. Monumental effort and I feel proud of myself that I did it. I contacted the attorneys listed on the list's welcome message (except for in Arizona). No response - not even a callback. Weird. Starting to realize that there are tests for getting well and tests for proving illness. Does anyone have a good attorney that and I can start with to get some relief? Or some advice on the type of attorney NOT to get. Is there a group that deals with disability issues and ME/CFIDS or should we take this backchannel? I know this list is for new experimental treatments. Please advise. In researching the archives, I found a message 104644 about ME being easier to deal with in terms of disability. Checked the website and it lists a series of tests and symptoms re: Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ICD-9 CM---323.9). A place to start at least. I posted a rather long message regarding the types of tests/protocols that I should start with. It was directed at Rich but anyone can respond backchannel or here, if they would like to. I will accept advice from anyone. I am really struggling to get well and to get up to speed with latests protocols and would appreciate any help. See Message #105104. Blessings, Marti Z. Quote
