HI Jill,

I am also watching this conference and I SECOND all that you just said!!

Thank you Rich (and Sue T) for encouraging me in this direction!) I now realize

I have a chance for a normal life.

It is my understanding that the RNA is high in price because of the liability

issues.

Jill, I love protein too. But I am CBS upregulated and well as SUOX +/- and

protein is not my friend. However the diet is still a major issue for me. I feel

better already, getting the sulfur out of there and moving more towards carbs.

If I can get around the gas issue (which I think the ammonia RNA is partially

responsible for) and get my ammonia down, I will be pleased

test results, and if a few people had not begun seeing such good

results, would I have paid for the test, and would I have been

willing/eager to view all these DVD's (I have others to view as well,

from earlier conferences.) I do recall being very impressed a year ago

when I began watchng the October conference DVDs but then I let them

go until now.

And I want to say to the list: Rich is right.

I want to specifically address this to Kurt and a few others. Kurt, I

thought of emailing you privately, I really would like you to view

these DVDs and take the testing4health. I feel for you and your

daughter a whole new world of insight will open. Salt/c and EMF

blockers have taken you partway but I am totally convinced now that

you will find genetic mutations, maybe CBS upregulation, and you will

be able to address them via Yasko's work. IN fact if you view these

DVD's enough, you will probably be able to understand and monitor,

with Rich's help if he is willing, your ongoing responses through

organic acid and amino acid testing.

I now see that I have to do the urine amino acid testing. I'm likely

to have some skewed results because of the amount of unsweetened

chocolate I eat, which I suspect my body just dumps (catecholamines)

when it doesn't need it, so that particular aspect of my tests I will

ignore since I love my chocolate.

Anyway, also, Edy, I really think you must take this test. Also, I

want to turn Dr. Bergeron's attention to this and get him to study it.

I do think fungal issues are big for you but I bet you have some

significant mutations per Yasko.

She is quite remarkable--one can see in hour after hour of

presentation, she is clear, she is compassionate, she is meticulous,

she is capable of synthesizing across boundaries (after all, she has a

PhD and an ND, how many of those are there around?), she is patient,

she is open, she is warm. I've googled and there are some very

unsympathetic and critical comments about her on the web. My one big

question is why she charges so much for her RNA producs and I do not

think that question has been adequately answered. RNA is added to

animal feed. She chooses specific RNA's for specific uses, but since

RNA is widely and cheaply available, I am not yet convinced that

sifting out specific RNA's really requires that they cost $100/bottle.

I may bring this question up to her very politely.

However, overall, there is nobody doing what she is doing. Nobody. It

is indeed the wave of the future, not just for us, but it should be

for everybody.

I worry that I will have a cbs upregulation. I hope I don't. Because I

cannot tolerate a high carb diet, I have to have a high protein diet

because of my fungal/bacterial issues. And that could create excess

ammonia which could be a real problem for me. But she says she is

flexible about people's diets.

Hi Jill,

Very concise. Thanks from all of us for your diligence. Because of financial

issues I have to pick and choose what and what not to do and in what order. Do

you have an opinion about what Yasko would put first? Should I remove my

amalgums and start chelating the metal or should I go for the tests? They seem

expensive, but then again if what they offer is hope then they become priceless.

Once again, you go! Thanks.

Janet, I am glad you are so enthused too.

My problem with carbs is a systemic fungal infection, plus chronic

bacterial infection. Eating carbs (and I do anyway, in the form of

beans, potatoes, nuts, and dairy--and in sour fruits that aren't too

sugary), I can get bladder burning, I can taste more bacteria in my

mouth where there are tooth problems, I get fatigue, and bloating/gas.

I do better without the carbs and the symptoms abate. If I eat

something very sweet like a ripe banana, forget it. But I shouldn't

second guess test results I don't have yet.

Edy, I cannot exactly advise but at this point if I were in your place

I would get the $750 SNP 1 test and hopefully Rich can analyze it

(adding in her analysis is another $500 and could take quite a while

as she is focussing on the autistic children). It will still take 2

months to get the test results anyway.

Since you have brought your glutathione up readily with the liposomal

glutathine and without much side effects, it seems to me (but Rich

would know better) this is a good sign. Others who get sick from

glutathione have various blocks.

If you had no major mutations or methylation issues, you could remove

amalgams fairly safely just using your glutathione.

Also, did you ever get your p450 liver enzymes tested, as you are so

sensitive to drugs? Here in NY I can't get Genova but I believe you can.

These tests ARE expensive. Also the organic acids is $220/cash and I

don't know how much the amino acid urine test is. I haven't checked yet.

I guess one has to set aside a couple ethousand in planning ahead, for

the original tests, adn then to monitor resuls at least every 3-4

months I would think. I know it's a lot. It could be you could also

wait and see how a few more of us do after testing and making changes.

Hi Jill,

I think the yeast and bacterial problems will be addressed with the program,

but I hear ya!!! I don't know if you have taken a look at her list on Step one

of the supplements for yeast. Its a pretty long list. I was asking the group

about CDSA, wondering if this is a stool anaylsis. Maybe looking at that would

also tell us what we are fighting.

I think the long standing issues we all have had will come to the fore front

to finally BE DEALT WITH as we improve our methylation status.

In other words its CUSTER'S LAST STAND FOR THE BAD BUGS.

Are you going to get the genetic test???

Edy,

Just my two cents, but go for the tests first. In my opinion, 3 tests pretty

much tell you where you are at. Genovations Detoxi profile, Yasko full SNP (with

the GAR) if you can afford the GAR, and a glutationie level test.

You don't want to mess with those amalgams until you see where you glutathione

is, at the very least.

I did do the genetic test (the $750 new one via blood spot) about 2

weeks ago. But it takes two months to get results as you may know.

Maybe I will get it sooner but the wait can be that long.

I am still thinking about organic acids, urine amino acids etc. Now

that I'm watching all this I think I will probably do the urine amino

acids, altho I'm sure I'll have excess phenylananine and who knows

what else from all the chocolate I eat.

Jill,

It took me about 10 weeks to get my results back. I sent mine in on 5/15 and

got it back about the 3rd week in July. I am still waiting on the GAR.

I can see that to get well this program is going to cost me some money, so I

am holding back on any tests, until I have to do them. (I have already taken the

hit on supplements I ordered not knowing my tests, that are now useless to me.)

I think we already have established that she does not mean for people to take

each supplement on her lists. She is offering options to try. Yes?

Hi Jill,

I don't know if you have taken a look at her list on Step one of the

supplements for yeast. Its a pretty long list.

She says often in the presentations that she is flexible about the

whole program.

And also this gives us a choice on the supplements that work best for us. Her

idea of rotating them I think is great.

Thanks for your ideas Jill. I agree that getting genetic testing would

help, and am trying to raise funds to do that. However, I also suspect

that there may be a less expensive way to determine what we need to

know. Maybe once enough PWC on this list have had the genetic tests

some patterns will emerge that will be helpful to those unable to afford

testing. Perhaps eventually someone can make an attempt at an easy to

understand table of symptoms and probable SNPs. So a person can see

their probable genetic issues without paying for the tests.

The problem with creating a situation where PWC must rely on expensive

tests, at least as I see the issue, is that those with the worst CFS are

generally out of work, often uninsured, usually denied disability, and

sometimes living at or below the poverty line, particularly single PWC

or those without working spouses. We fall between the cracks. So we

need low-cost testing AND low-cost treatments. Maybe this has not been

as much of a problem with autism as many autistic children have good

insurance and working parents advocating for them. So their parents

gladly pay the high fees for the DAN protocol tests and supplements. I

realize that relative to some other genetic tests right now, the Yasko

cost is not all that bad, but it is still too high for many of us.

Also, regarding your comments about not tolerating carbs, have you tried

the ancient grains? I could not tolerate any carbs at all, until I

found these. Modest servings of amaranth, quinoa, millet, and sometimes

oats all seem to work fine for me, and none of these have gluten either.

Any other carbs simply do not work for me, including wheat, potatoes,

fruits, etc.

Thoughts about Yasko halfway through the

February conference DVD's

I felt like posting many times as I watched these DVD's.

I want to thank Rich for so insistently, yet graciously and

deferentially, calling our attention to Yasko and her approach. I

wonder if, had he not focussed on it, learned it, and began analyzing

test results, and if a few people had not begun seeing such good

results, would I have paid for the test, and would I have been

willing/eager to view all these DVD's (I have others to view as well,

from earlier conferences.) I do recall being very impressed a year ago

when I began watchng the October conference DVDs but then I let them

go until now.

Buckwheat, too.

I once had a " big " dream directing me to eat barley. Upon reflection I realized

it grew where my ancestors came from; was THE staple there.

I make the most incredible pancakes out of quinoa, amaranth and rice flour.

Yummy! Then I refrigerate them and use them as bread for open faced sandwiches.

Kurt, I care about your health and unfortunately there is no shortcut

to this. Perhaps at some point when I'm done with my article I can

lend you the DVD's.

There is no shortcut.

The ancient grains don't work better than modern for me. I have to fix

the chronic infections before I can handle grains. Mercola points out

most grains today have mycotoxin contamination.
