Guest guest Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Sue, I am not cooking them. I am using them on top of a salad. Kidney beans, white beans, salad beans. I was trying to replace my protien! I don't think its the beans, I was eating them before I started the ammonia RNA. I started the RNA two days ago and that is when the problem started. Bad enogh that today I am not taking the RNA. Should I lower the dose?? I was only taking one dropper, 1/3, 3 times a day. Its bad enough that I can't eat much ! The gas won't move, up or down! Its stuck in there! Thank you for helping me. Guest guest Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Hi Janet, I would start ALL the RNA's with only one or two drops once a day and work up slowly from that very low starting dose. This is also true for the supplements and herbs, too. . . . tiny sprinkles, crushing tablets, etc. Please also keep in mind to only try to use a fist size amount of protien a day till you get the ammonina issue amd glutamate/gaba balance worked out. Guest guest Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 HI Jill, Yes, I do have CBS upregulation. CBS A360A +/+ . I had some done some reading their about the detox and it does produce some gas. Some is ok, incapcitating is another. I am heading down for the Alka Setlzer and as Sue suggested, lowering my drops and I will look for the post Rich mentioned. Thank you all so much for your help! Janet jill1313 <jenbooks13@...> wrote: I am watching her DVD on the SNPs....I am in the midst of a brain embargo (my brain cannot be imported any longer due to a blockade of information at very valuable ports of call....ha...) She says that as you reduce the ammonia, IF you have a CBS upregulation (do you?) you can get alanine and carnosine elevated, and a detox effect. I have no idea if that produces gas. Gas is usually the byproduct of fermentation of sugars by bacteria... I cannot keep all her info in my head. Thank goodness I don't have to. It's not a matter of understanding mechanism (for instance, I still need to view Deth's DVD again and his papers, as he is discovering something basic about mechanism), its simply information overload. IF her information is correct then she is doing in essence, good bench science. She admits that some of her hunches have been/will be wrong. One mutation is gentler than she initially suspected. > > > > Hi Rich/Sue/All > > > > I am getting SEVERE, INCAPACITATING GAS which is usually worse at > > night. Guest guest Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Rich, This has been an on going problem with me, so thank you so much for your help!!! I have looked at every post in the Adults/Parent forum of Autism Answer. I know my tummy hurts like heck, but my eyes are still good! I also tried to search for Adults AND intestinal gas, got nothing on that and I also tried Indian food. 736 posts came up for that!!. Can you help me locate that post you were referring to??? Thank you so much for your help, Janet rvankonynen <richvank@...> wrote: Hi, Janet. I'm really sorry to hear about the gas. I certainly know what that's like! In the recent post to the woman about the Indian food in the parents and adults section of the autismanswer group, Dr. Yasko gives some comments about gas production. One thing she says there is that if the pH of the gut is too low (too acid) it favors the growth of yeasts. Yeasts do generate gas. The suggestion about sodium bicarbonate that mjh gave you would fit right in with this. Sodium bicarbonate will raise the pH. That might give you some relief. In the longer term, the things that Dr. Yasko lists in that message for her gut treatment may be helpful. I hope you get some relief. I've been there on the bloated gut, and it isn't fun! Guest guest Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 HI Rich, It took me Alka Seltzer and other " gas prodicts " yesterday to get over it. And my gut is still sore this morning. The Alka Seltzer didn't do all the job, but I think it helped. I will ask about the hydrocloride acid at autism answer. I think the RNA might also be causing me some die off. I will try again today to put that back in my schedule. I didn't take it at all yesterday. I find the gut protocoll pretty confusing for myself. (I find all of the program, mind bending) however I am willing to put the time in and I am grateful for those who are ahead of me and can explain it!! Janet rvankonynen <richvank@...> wrote: Hi, Janet. I'm glad you got relief from Alka Seltzer. I guess that old " plop, plop, fizz, fizz " really does have something to it! Don't fry your throat and esophagus with strong hydrochloric acid! B. has had favorable experience with taking dilute HCl, and maybe she will comment on it.) But the various things you are taking need to be coordinated with each other so they are not working at cross purposes, and I'm not sure how taking HCl will fit with what else you're currently taking. I hope you will get an answer from Amy Yasko about this. Sorry I can't be of more help. I need to learn more about the gut treatment program. Rich Should I be taking hydrocloride acid??
