Guest guest Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 Dan \Thank you for posting that. It is very encouraging to me. I have an FFC dr. I have not yet rec'd my most recent lab results that were to include the lyme test. In preparation for that I've been doing my homework on Lyme and I'm not very encouraged by what I read. The best part is that this woman you speak of goes to an FFC. I know all drs in those clinics aren't the same but I think they try to maintain a similar protocol throughout the various clinics. Thank you so much Diane in MI Re:Amelia, a: Lyme...improvement... I write this as perhaps a little inspiration. A woman in our local CFS group recently found out (at the FFC Center) that she has lyme's. The doctor at the clinic was honest enough to tell her she wasn't that experienced regarding lyme treatment, so the woman is looking for a lyme-literate doc (perhaps she's found one by now). Despite not treating it yet, she has made MIRACULOUS improvements over the past 8-9 months by going gluten-free and getting on a rotation diet where she eats a different diet every four days. It's my understanding that this helps to reduce allergies or sensitivities and also help the gut heal at the same time. The day of our last meeting, she had just come back from hiking 3,000 feet up a smaller mountain in our area. She rested about 45 minutes, then came to the meeting. All this, and she hasn't even begun to treat the lyme's. And she's in her 60's. That to me, is inspiring.
