I don't even remember that part of the movie. > Just out of curiosity, is she paid, or is it volunteer? With as strained > as our police forces are, it sounds like something every community could > use! She is a volunteer. My dad retired from Exxon and they will give money to organizations that employees volunteer for so she actually makes money for the organization by volunteering. I wish more companies did that. A Girl Scout troop or PTO could do amazing things with a few hundred dollars. The BBQ was fun. I introduced my daughters to 3 female police officers. One is a detective and one is doing a 3 year rotation with the FBI. The girls thought that was very cool. It's also good for them to see police officers playing with their families like regular people. At the BBQ I ate chicken, pinto beans, and a little potato salad and cole slaw. It was yummy and nothing upset my tummy. I feel like I'm eating too much so I'll cut down a bit. It's probably good to have a couple of days with higher calories since I've been pretty low for the 10 weeks since surgery. Kind of an unplanned Wendie program. Today I'm doing great. So far I've just had a glass of high protein milk for breakfast. I need to make a pot of decaf peppermint tea to drink. I also got three 12 packs of Minute Maid Light drinks which are 10 calories per can. I can't have carbonation so I've given up my beloved Diet Pepsi. These Minute Maid drinks will be a nice change from tea and water for these hot summer days. I feel like I'm doing pretty well with fluids. I crave plain water more now. Yesterday afternoon I went to a weight loss surgery support group meeting at the hospital where I had my surgery. It was such a nice program by an adorable guy that owns a gym. Yummy biceps. He showed us a strength training routine done with a ball, mat, band and dumbells. It was just what I needed. I enjoyed trying out 24 Hour Fitness but I don't want to join right now since I'll be starting a full time job on Monday. After 9 years being out of work it is going to be quite an adjustment and getting to the gym is going to be very hard. My girls are 6 and 9 so I have to work around them. I'm going to be working 8:30-5:30 so I can take them to school in the fall. ( will pick them up at 5pm so they'll be in after school care for 1.5 hours) I won't get home until 6pm if I come straight home from work. I was saying that I'll go to the gym from 8-9pm. That still might work out but I'll start off doing the home routine for now. I want to do the home routine 4 days a week so I don't lose so much muscle mass while I'm losing weight. I want to walk on the treadmill 5 days a week. I'd like to report my exercise here to help me keep it up. I have a ball that I bought and never inflated. I'll pick up the band, mat and dumbells at Target or Walmart. This just seems to practical if I can keep it up. My girls are at Vacation Bible School with my mom today. I need to work on painting the breakfast room and cleaning up the kitchen. Our house is in chaos right now and that adds a lot of stress. At least if the kitchen and breakfast room are clean we will have a nice place for family dinners when I start work. Gotta get to work!
