Guest guest Posted December 29, 2004 Report Share Posted December 29, 2004 Shaklee has a similar line (vitamins, beauty products, cleaning products, water and air filters, etc), and they don't use tea tree oil. Their stuff is pretty good from what I see so far (I don't sell, I do buy for our own use). From the health supplements to the cleaning supplies. The dishsoap for hand washing dishes a bottle for my household of 5 lasts about 6 months. Everything is super concentrated, and you get a seperate mixing bottle to mix the solutions with water. (why pay for a watered down product?) The Sol-U-Mel is fantastic. My 2 year old daughter had written on the walls with an ink pen. A little straight from the bottle full strength of Sol U Mel and it came off almost instantly. Some of their product have more Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) in it than others. They have a great shampoo and conditioner line as well as body washes. Does this help? For example, tea tree oil is melaleuca alternifolia, melaleuca viridiflora is niaouli essential oil and melaleuca leucadendron is cajeput essential oil. By the by, all contain quite high levels of 1,8 cineole and are potentially very irritant to the skin. Because of this, they need to be very, very pure to be therapeutic. I had a horrendous reaction many years ago. It is SUPPRESSIVE of any skin condition and using it on your skin for dishsoap is scary. Everything in moderation............really be careful here.
