Guest guest
Hello ladies, Thanks to all who congratulated me on my 19.5 pounds! I appreciate it! I have to say that I'm surprising my family and myself by exercising every day. Neither my husband nor my children expected me to keep going once I started. They weren't so impolite as to mention it, but I could tell by the surprise and pleasure they showed when they saw me doing the DVDs every day. I just feel a compulsion to do it daily, and since usually my compulsions are towards food, I'm happy to allow this one free rein. You ladies are also a great support in this. Has anyone here read the book " Conquering Obesity " by Dr. Lance Levy? He has some interesting things to say about goal weights (usually too low) and the use of fat in weight loss diets. He feels that very low fat diets have caused some of the excess amount of obesity we're seeing in the last few years because people overcompensate for a lack of dietary fat by eating other foods to excess (trying to get satisfied). He also explains in great scientific detail why we should eat breakfast. Quite an interesting book. He has a web site but I haven't perused that closely so I don't know what is there. Going well, Laurie
