There appears to be a small chicken pox break out at my sons school. It started

with 1 sibling in first grade and then spread to her sister that is in the same

class with my son. The school is claiming that the sisters had the chicken pox

shot but still got the chicken pox. Gee I wonder how that happened.

I called the mom of the siblings to see if I could drop off two shirts and a toy

for her girls to be in so my children can be exposed to the chicken pox. The mom

wasn't home so I spoke with a sitter who was very shocked and didn't know what

to say. Fingers crossed mom will let it happen.

Since my son is in the same class as the one sibling, would you say he was

exposed? The class is smallish (18 kids) and the who class is together for

everything and everyone works together.

the chickenpox is what brought me to this wonderfully informative

group in the first place =) A little girl, who also had the vaccine

came down with the chickenpox. My 2 girls are good friends with her

and I'm also good friends with her Mom, so I made sure they played

together in order for my kids (I also have a teenage son) to be

exposed. My 6y.o had the worst case(in my family), she had 9 pox My

4y.o had a slight fever & runny nose and my son wasn't affected. The

vaccinated girl had over 60 pox and itchy for a few days.

So, I've been skimming posts and didn't see what happened---has the

Mom contacted you? My friend (the Mom) was very anxious when I

suggested they all still play together. It's the chickenpox! Crazy

world we live in. I'll check in later
