Guest guest
Colic is a catch-all term for unknown crying it seems. I was told Years ago when my 2nd baby was a few weeks old (he's 20 yrs old now), that his massive spitting up and crying jags were caused by an immature sphincter muscle at the base of the esophagus/opening to the stomach. My ped at the time said that it's normal in some babies, that there was Nothing we could do about it, and to just wait it out. He said it would mature either at 3mos, 6mos, or 9mos (times that correspond with typical major growth spurts). Of course, my son didn't mature until the Full 9 months was over, but hey, it did happen. ;-) lol It sounds like you've explored pretty much everything... Unless you want to try a homeopath, I think you may just have to wait this one out. Jan G. SAHM of 8, doula, breastfeeding advocate
Guest guest
Our pregnancies sound very similar. My daughters colic lasted into 8 months. It got better with time but it didn't " disappear " . The only thing that somewhat worked for her was swinging. He probably inharited something from you. I wish I would have been into HOmeopathy back then. I'm confident she would have been successfully treated. Best of Luck! Guest guest
I went through this too and wish I would've been into homeopathy then. Do you wear your baby in a sling ? That seemed to help for periods time. Also getting out of the house for lots of walks. I do remember my midwife said to keep the baby away from fans because the swallowing of the forced air . Hope your baby gets some relief soon. You too. in AZ > > my son Nico is almost 3 months old, but is still colicky. you know > > how they say that 3 months is a magic number and the colic goes > away > > after??/ > >
