There was an ER episode once that had a baby die from measles I think. The

baby of course was not vaxed.

Has anyone else been noticing how t.v. shows lately seem to be subtly

smearing alternative health practices? Two recent and blatant ones come to

mind; both were crime drama shows (one was CSI I think; can't remember the

other). In the one show the characters traced an outbreak of illness on a

college campus to " organic milk " that was dispensed in the cafeteria. In

another, CSI Vegas I think, women were supposedly dying from intravenous

hydrogen peroxide treatments (which, even in the tv show, they only died

because the WRONG dose was used, not from the treatment itself per se, but

they did not emphasize that, only emphasized that the treatment was crazy

and fatal). This is really starting to make me mad. I don't watch very

much network television, so the fact that this seems to be a trend even in

just the small handful of shows I watch now and then is very disturbing. I

am wondering how long it will be before they start depicting masses of

babies dying from lack of vaccination. Grrrrr....

It is all about the money! If you pay attention to the commercials you will

know who is funding the show. During the ER episode there was a commercial for

the varicella vaccine, ya know the one with the crying rubber duckie??

Annoying as h% & **, isn't it!! It seems

most shows have some political agenda.

And a lot of movies are just long

infomercials for some issue, The Cider

House Rules comes to mind. I had to

stop watching The District when 'the

chief' wouldn't let one of his employees

have a gun license " because he'd just

end up shooting himself " and ER, years

ago, one of the doctors said to a Mother

that didn't vaccinate her kids " but

vaccinations stimulate the immune

system " <gag> and it was the cute Dr.

, boy did he get ugly quick LOL

I've found I can't watch any medical

shows anymore, even Providence and this

month Strong Medicine promoting all the

charities for breast cancer cures.

They've been taking pot shots at

Chiropractors for years. I really

admire people that have tossed their TVs

in the trash. I'm getting close!! What

I'm trying to do now is watch for

propaganda on issues that I might not

know IS propaganda. I'm always alarmed

when I learn the other side of an issue

that I didn't know was a lie.

It seems like the only shows that are prepared to even touch on the truth are

ones such as the Simpsons. At they probably only get through the censors

because they don't think people will take a cartoon seriously enough to see it

as truth. And they ensure that by adding something so ridiculous that nothing

in the show can be taken seriously.
