Guest guest
WW allows for flex points but not quite on that scale. Maybe you should plan to bank 500 calories (or whatever seems reasonable) per week so you can splurge. Going too low in calories so you can have an apple pie is just putting yourself in starving and binging mode though. I'm a firm believer in customizing plans to fit our needs as long as we're staying healthy and honest with ourselves. Guest guest
I'm not intentionally saving up for a binge. Some days I had two fruits OR a dairy window open at the end of the day. One day I had three fats left over. I just banked them instead of eating when I wasn't hungry. It is still insanity, but somehow the measured insanity saves me from a full blown breakdown. Guest guest
Kim, I was thinking this sounds alot like the WW flex points as well. Maybe there is someone on list that can answer how many flex points (aka:calories) they are allowed to build up a week. I know that Pie must be really good to want to save up *that* many calories for If you really want it why not make sure that and your Daughter and maybe her boyfriend will all be there so you have other people eating it as well, and you will not have *as* much to eat, or better yet fit it into your meal plan (or at least a slice of it). I have made Splenda Apple Pies and they tasted wonderful, you just have to figure in the crust and *I* personally used the apple as a fruit exchange. When I had Meredith into the nutritionist (she goes again next month) she was asking Meredith about foods that had fruit in them, and Meredith said " apple pie's a fruit " , the nutritionist wasn't going to allow it until I butted in! I said, it is a baked apple with some splenda/cinnamon and maybe rasins on it, *IF* it isn't a fruit then what the heck is it?, Granted it is in between some " breadding " (which can be made lower fat) but it's *still* a fruit. She told Meredith that if I called it a fruit then that was fine. Anyhow.... now that I'm going off topic..... If you can't find anyone on flex points I think I may know where I can get the answers a who still has to look for tuna recipes

Last year I did work in a piece of strawberry pie on 's birthday. I'm nowhere near 3,500 calories in my little bank. More likely I'll get hungry again when I am out of windows and dip into my " savings " for something like a bowl of granola cereal with milk. (240 calories for 1/2 cup--ridiculous!)
