Message of the Day THE TENTH MONTH

Today is the last day of September! When you wake up tomorrow, it will be

October. This is a hard month

for me. How about you? Now don`t get depressed and say you can`t stay on

program this month, because I believe you will! Let`s plan October together,

shall we?

Begin with thinking about your goals and re-establishing your commitment.

Tell yourself there are lots of temptations out there, but you will be

strong enough to handle any situation that comes your way. Promise yourself

that you will stay positive and will not fall victim to your past. Promise

yourself that you will concentrate on your future and think about how great

you will feel once this month is over!

When you go home later today, walk in that kitchen and straighten it out.

Take inventory immediately. Is there ice cream in that freezer? Get rid of

it! Are there candy and cookies in the designated candy and cookie drawer?

Get rid of them! Are there party foods like potato chips, corn chips, and

cheesy, crunchy things hanging around? Dispose of them!

Now make out a grocery list of foods that will be an asset to your FoodMover

weight loss plan. Stock up on fresh fruit like apples, oranges, grapes,

melon, and bananas. Be adventurous and try some fruits you`ve never tasted

before. Get yourself some salad fixings – lettuce, tomatoes, celery,

carrots, onions, water chestnuts, cucumbers, and parsley. Try brown rice,

whole-grain bread, oatmeal, melba toast, some whole-grain fat-free waffles,

and yams. Stock up on some cereals that are high in fiber, too. Write down

spinach, broccoli, squash, zucchini, and string beans. Get some turkey

cutlets, boneless and skinless chicken, and some fresh tuna or salmon.

Next get out all your videos, walking tapes, and weights, and plan your

workouts as part of your daily routine. Know that every time you do your

aerobics and toning you are adding energy and years to your life!

day this month, because I`ll keep you motivated. If you`re not a member yet,

join the Clubhouse and be active on the bulletin boards and visit the chat

rooms every day. There are so many great people there to support you.

Yes, October is the month when leaves drop, and so will your weight!
