not to sound crass, but ......... at what point should they just not be

responsible for their own behavior? I mean, honestly. I would hope like he**

that none of my kids would have unsafe sex (well, at all, but let's be

realistic, right? LOL) .......... but if they end up with some disease,

shouldn't they just be held responsible for it? What makes these people think

that something they give a 4 month old will last until they die? Since all the

other vaccines wane (not that I'm convinced they work at all ..... ) why

wouldn't this one?

I have a friend that used the sharing the toothbrush thing before. I nearly

dropped the phone I was laughing so hard ...... ARE YOU KIDDING ME ??? Even as

a kid it never occurred to me to share someone's toothbrush YUCK YUCK YUCK

............. lolol

I mean, if it's really a concnern for teenagers, and we're supposed to be

" responsible " enough to get the shots as infants, wouldn't it be more

appropriate (in their line of thinking) for these kids to have this WHEN they

are " most vulnerable?)

Funny you should say that - the first pediatrician that checked our newborn in

the hospital admitted that he didn't have his own children vaccinated for HepB

until they were 12 or 13. (Which was why he didn't hassle us when I refused it.)

Kindest regards,

So, between birth (first shot) and two months (2nd shot) the baby is going to

engage in sexual activity and take I/V drugs from shared needles?

LOL, noooooooooo he/she's gonna share a toothbrush with his buddy!

I think all these excuses are lame... and not true... the blood

transfusion one is disturbing to me...

I found a page with a believable reason.... it also has some other

interesting tid bits... I haven't found an effectiveness rate though.

I have one, too. My current pediatrician argued that should my baby ever

need a blood transfusion there was " no guarantee " that the blood wouldn't be

tainted with HepB. :-(

Does anyone know - do pediatricians get " kick backs " from pharm. companies

for the number of vaccines dispensed? Just curious.

Oh wait they have a better one these days......

" What if your child bites(or gets bit) by a hepB+ child?!?!!?!?!!?

It could happen at the playground,or daycare so don't you want to protect

your baby/toddler just in case? "
