Hattie and Dolly were sleeping at the edge of the tub. Let`s just say it was a Norman Rockwell scene! Well, the phone rang, and it was my brother, Lenny. I began making a lot of small talk, just chattering away like I usually do, and in the midst of my chattering, Lenny said, “I just proposed to , and we`re getting married!” Well, let`s just say I almost drowned! “What?” I said. “I’m getting married to ,” Lenny said. “We`re in Biloxi, Mississippi, and I just gave her a ring!” I thought I was talking to the wrong Lenny! He was a confirmed bachelor, and now, I`m gonna have a sister-in-law! I`m so happy for both of them! They do love each other so very much. I can see it in their eyes when they`re together. Lenny and devote a great deal of their lives to the Kiwanis organization. They`re both so wonderful around kids, and they truly enjoy traveling together all over the country doing their charity work. They`re getting married at St. Louis Cathedral, where Lenny and I went to mass every single day for 15 years. He and still go there every single Sunday. I spoke with on the phone, and bubbles – not words – came out of her mouth! My mother, Shirley, loved so much. I know she`s in heaven smiling at them both. Then Lenny said to me, “I want you to be best man.” Wow! I never thought this was gonna happen, but I`m so glad it did! Congratulations, Lenny and , and , I’m so proud to have you as a sister-in-law! I told I was designing a special Spandex aerobic wedding dress for her. We just laughed and laughed! I don`t know when the wedding will take place, but I`ll let you know. On another note, I must tell you that Elijah is doing so terrific! I talk with him every day. His speech is almost 100 percent! He sounds so joyous and so full of life! I told Elijah that I am very proud of him. He told me that soon he`ll be perfect again! He`s back on the computer and back to enjoying his life! Again, thank you for all your prayers. God sure has answered them! Well, it`s the Thursday before Christmas, and I will teach 2 hours of class tonight. ly, I can`t wait. Have a wonderful day!
