Ah, the joys of college class registration! I'm glad I don't plan on having

that struggle any more in my lifetime. Henry will fight his own battles next

year! LOL

You know how many weeks of my life were spent on registration lines, only to

be told the class I needed that particular semester had been booked solid

since 9am that morning and it was now 7pm?

My former neighbor told me that most colleges now warn students at

orinetation that many classes are no longer being held on Firdays - the

profs want the extra day off, that class size is smaller - union demands,

and many mandatory courses are help less often than necessary because they

can't gt enough professors to teach them, so these new freshmen should be

prepared to take at least 5 years to fulfil the requirements for a

Bachelor's degree!

At least the school Henry's going to is a specialty college and they have

professors waiting to be hired as openings occur, and many of these kids are

over-achievers (like Henry) and take an extra course or 2 each semester and

attend every summer so they can finish up earlier and either get into the

job market or start immediately with their MS degrees.

So I am around , frustrated, fighting &

Is this an epiemic? 2 cities here in Jersey just had masive walkouts, and

NYC Catholic school teachers just went back *for now* until they have more

talks sometime next week and say they most likely *will* go out again.

I have also been taking Hayat back &

> forth to her school for her testing & registering.

And of course *she* has no trouble getting in for clases, even ESL classes,

right?

Meanwhile, I have gotten

> no exercise & food isn't the greatest.

Maybe Hayat can keep an eye on the kids and let you go out aftr dinner for a

while, even if it's just to walk aorund the neighborhood or visit the

restaurant. Sounds like you need some " alone " time as much as exercise.

Just stay away from that junk food!!!
