Guest guest
" I can tell you that no one feels better within a few days of starting > it...on the contrary, you're supposed to feel worse if it's working. " My experience with starting Guai recently is that I did feel a little better almost immediately. I am trying to figure out how this is possible, since it doesn't seem to be typical according to what I've read. More typical seems to be people feeling worse (they start " clearing phosphates, " as the theory goes). I suppose if it's a placebo effect, I will know over time. I know it's not due to Dr. St. Amand's famous charisma, because I've never seen him. I heard somewhere that Guai works as an NMDA receptor blocker, which would explain the slight pain reduction I have seen. But I don't think this would explain the decrease in morning stiffness I have seen, which would be explained by the phosphate theory. If I learn anything more I will share it. Maybe there is a subset of PWCs whose pathology is exactly what St. Amand theorizes, and these people respond to Guai. > > Regarding the Guaifenesin, please do check out the guaidoc.com website. > 5,000 mg is not the does you're supposed to start at, and it's rare for > anyone to even need such an insanely high dose. > I just finished a nine month stint on the Guaifenesin Protocol, to no avail, > but I can tell you that no one feels better within a few days of starting > it...on the contrary, you're supposed to feel worse if it's working.
