Guest guest
There are any number of organic essential oils available in the USA with gas chromatography to show an analysis of the components and linked to a specific distillation.. Taking essential oils internally needs to be done with knowledge and caution as many can cause some serious problems when used indiscriminately. Of course, you are free to use whatever you want. Like you, it's been a long haul for me, too, and I've been using essential oils for well over twenty five years. Some of my sources are www.av-at.com www.sunrosearomatics.com www.alittleolfactory.com www.naturesgift.com Go the the USDA FDA website and do a search for the criteria for 'therapeutic grade' essential oils. For a substance to be named an essential oil, it must be the product of distillation. Hope this helps mjh In a message dated 9/4/2004 1:26:33 PM Eastern Daylight Time, writes: From: " gayu_pwc7 " <gayu_pwc7@...> Subject: therapeutic grade ess oil Fox, I know Young Living is a MLM company. I have tried essential oils from several companies- Auro Cacia, Simplers, Oshadhi and did not feel a thing. They say in their bottles organic essential oils and 100% pure. I tried Young Living oils and I sure can say their oils are therapeutic grade from the research I made and the way I feel with them. Their oils are certified by AFNOR standards. None of the other oils carry a AFNOR certification. And YL oils are tested with Gas Chromatography and every batch is analyzed for the components present. And I have talked to people who have gone to the Young Living's farms in utah. They use no pesticide, use spring water to water the farms and they have such stringent control that all the harvest is taken to their pressure cookers in 15 minutes to do teh oil distillation, so none of the oil properties are lost while distilling. And as far as I know, YL oils are the only pure oils which can be ingested internally. Except for their Jasmine and Neroli (which are called absolutes since they are extracted using alcohol) all of YL oils can be taken internally- but caution is advised as essential oils are so concentrated so one does not want to overload the liver with too many oils. I am trying their oils which have high sesquiterpenes molecules as these are supposed to help the hypothalamus. I feel that they are helping me. After having been sick for 15 years, I dont want to waste time trying other oils, although they are a few dollars cheaper than YL oils and the quality is not the same as YL. This company is my choice when it comes to essential oils and I am happy that I tried these oils and I have been reading the research conducted by YL through third parties like the weber university and their oils like clove rank the highest in ORAC scale. They are more expensive than the other brands. But I am happy with their products quality. I have tried several products from other MLM companies like Mannatech, Reliv, Natures Sunshine, Amway supplements without results. However, I feel the YL oils are definitely worth the price. Anyway, this is my individual choice. If you are able to get the same result with other oils, then good for you. take care Gayathri. mjh http://foxhillfarm.us/FireBasil/

I already have tea tree oil because I was using it for itchy ears a while ago. I will definitely clean the mattress with tea tree oil - what a good idea! My dad suggested a little bleach, but I did not want to use that on something the baby will be sleeping on. Thanks so much for telling me about this. > Another option is to invest about $20.00 usd in 4 ounces of Tea Tree > Oil which is a very powerful antifungal essental oil. More is not necessarily better. Essential oils are very potent and a little goes a long way. My son is currently battling an aggressive bladder cancer and may be dealing with an obscure fungal issue. I put a few drops into his underwear drawer..... that's enough to know if that will help deal with the issue. mjh http://foxhillfarm.us/FireBasil/

I use betaine HCL for low acidity but don't like it much. What would you advise for that? I am also using some ginger, turmeric, fennel and licorice to improve digestion. Am I on the right tract? Anything else? Thanks Nil .. ..>>> Hiya Nil Licorice will help to support your adrenals, DGL licorice can help with H. pilori in your gut. Pineapple and papaya contain good digestive enzymes and garlic, onions and any of the 'hot' herbs and spices will aid digestion. We just incorporate them into our foods as seasoning... but use them in higher quantities. It should be so dilute that you have to try hard to smell it. I must have missed the issue of infant...... just get a new mattress and air it thoroughly outside before using with a baby. I wipe down surfaces regularly with very dilute solutions of various essential oils for sanitizing as I prefer them to chemicals. We restored a very musty 100+ year old quilt that could not be laundered by putting a few drops of several essential oils on cotton balls and sealing the quilt in plastic for about a week. mjh http://foxhillfarm.us/FireBasil/
