Guest guest
= = = Original message = = = " One of the arguments I'm planning to present at the AACFS meeting the weekend after this coming one is that the trigger for bringing endogenous viruses, including HHV-6, Epstein--Barr, cytomegalovirus, and possibly others, out of latency at the onset of CFS is that glutathione becomes sufficiently depleted. " Hi Rich! I had a massive outbreak of cold sores at the time that I came down with CFS in the summer of 1992. Is there a test for glutathione levels that I could ask my doctor to order? And if my levels are low, what's the most cost effective way to boost my glutathione level. The leader of our Seattle CFS and Fibro support group has suggested I try Designer Whey (which he gets at a pretty good price and brings to meetings to save members the trouble of having to shop for it). Do you think that would be a good way to go? ___________________________________________________________ Sent by ePrompter, the premier email notification software. Guest guest
Since you brought this up, my Tourette's is much worse the worse my CFS is. I know that I battle keeping my gluathione up and I've never really thought about a direct correlation in the past. Is it possible the symptoms of Tourettes would correlate with levels of gluathione? (I wish I took better notes on my symptoms for correlation.) I always assume it correlated more with my brain function. Doris It's glutathione depletion that does it! (was--Re: Dr. Brewer tape) Rich, I gather this simply by an intuitive look at histories in families. I remember a work by a guy named Comings who had initially specialized in Tourette's, I believe, and then realized that the families of victims had clusters of other disorders, and that they were probably all related to a certain genetic vulnerability manifesting differently. Guest guest
hi jill it isnt wierd to me as when i got glutathione ivs years ago , i felt my mind was hsarper and clearer with it and for hours after due to the increased fluid volume + extra glutathione( was defiicient on tests) i felt like the whole world was easier to understand and like a camera lens peeling away layers of fog so i understood more but it didnt last more than a few hours.tealk > [Original Message] > From: jill1313 <jenbooks13@...> > < > > Date: 10/2/2004 1:12:59 PM > Subject: It's glutathione depletion that does it! Guest guest
bg, O.K. Yes, I think you're right about that. That is one of the possible causes of hypercoagulation.
