Last year I was taking 5 mg daily and this year cut back to 2.5 mg. I did find that by the evenings I could have done with a bit more and sometimes would add in just 2.5 mg Cortef at 6 pm which did the trick. I did take Prednisone for 3 months and had the same benefits. I believe my adrenals have been damaged for nearly 30 years but I didn't get any treatment for them until nearly 2 years ago. Guest guest Posted August 29, 2004 Report Share Posted August 29, 2004 Hi Blake, If prednisone is a steroid/ immune-suppressant. Then I tried something similar called Kenacort. It made every thing 50x worst. For me it lowered my immune system. I have CFS, and had no idea where it came from. It was so bad after kenacort, I was able to see instantly what makes it worst. I can no longer use the heater. I am going to try LDA or EPD next week. If it works I'll be ok. If not it seems I have a few months to go. Ron It did not take long just a few days and funny things started to happen. I did not know what it was and continued the steroids for 7 days then stopped for 10, then 4 more days.
