Hate to ask you to theorize prematurely but , do you think this

protocol has the ability to reverse brain fog w/i days? I bought

quite a few supplements to test out one by one but now I am thinking

can I wait around long while I hear of your success with Benicar so

far? Question: is it cheap to use for those of us w/o insurance

especially? I already know the MWF 100mg is cheap. Secondly, do

you think Minocin is needed or will plan generic minocycline do the

job?

Other question, , I know some here will have after they do more

reading is is there danger of lowering blood pressure too low being

that many here already have severe hypotension. Before I got well

enough to exercise I remember having bp in 80's/50's and even as low

as 73/40something. Once a person takes Benicar do you think the

immune system will start to correct things to where their bp will

normalize anyway and correct for the hypotension to where they won't

need to worry about it going even lower but instead it will actually

become normalized by rising? Lastly, is the 1,25D testing a test

like MMP9 that docs only test very rarely and is not considered

normal immune testing?

,

If you understand that inflammation is causing our cognitive

problems, you'll see how Benicar works amazingly well for this.

Benicar has made my mental clarity sharp and improved my mood

significantly.

I have a wonderful paper about angiotensin and cognitive

behavior...send me an email and I'll give you a copy.

Q: is it cheap to use for those of us w/o insurance

especially?

A: it's about $50 for 30 40 mg tablets.

Q: Secondly, do you think Minocin is needed or will plan generic

minocycline do the job?

A: Good old minocycline is fine...I'm not sure doxy wouldn't work

either...but I think mino is likely better.

A: Yes, you answered your own question...Benicar can be used in

cases of hypotension...Dr. Marshall's work has shown this effect

plateaus with high doses of Benicar. There might be some slight

dizziness initially, but that seems to resolve itself as the disease

remits.

Q: Lastly, is the 1,25D testing a test

A: Yes, and the blood sample needs to be frozen to get an accurate

reading...1,25D must be heat labile.

Thanks for posting on this list. I think someone posted this

in another thread, but it is important enough to do it here as well.

A vigorous discussion of this is ongoing at lymenet:

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/024816.html

There are related threads in that list as well. It is dominating the

forum.

Currently I do not know if there is a strong reason to believe that

the same inflammatory cascades occur in all these illnesses, but

seems worth looking into. thinks so and he is knows more than

me.

has addressed the blood pressure issue numerous times and

Marshall says it is ok for hyptotension. Still, I wonder if Marshall

has worked with patients with the severe problems of BP some of us

have, including NMH.

I really encourage everyone to go to the lymenet link and see what

you think.
