Try lying down with a neckroll pillow or rolled up hand towel under your neck - not enough to lift your whole head, but just enough to lift your neck so that your head can " relax back " . Put an eye pillow over your eyes and just rest and breathe. Does that help? Watch your posture when you are on the PC or watching TV - is your head thrust forward? Do you have to crane your neck to look up at the screen? Or it could be muscle tension in the scalp. Give yourself a firm scalp massage, hit the main acupressure points down the midline (hairline to nape of neck, two finger-widths apart) and dig your thumbs all along under the " ledge " at the back of the skull where the skull ends and the neck begins. Sometimes, all it takes is drinking a glass of good water, doing a couple of neck stretches, and then watching one's posture to make this kind of head pain go away. Hope this helps! -- el (andreafrankel at sbcglobal dot net) " wake now! Discover that YOU are the song that the morning brings... "

In the last 3 months my head pain is 90% less. I have suffered from headaches a great deal since having CFS. When the pain is in the back & top of my head, it's usually because of a reaction to having too many sugars and starches which many people are sensitive to. Try eliminating sugars (even fruits and juices), breads, potatoes, any cereals/grains, and snack foods for 4 days, drink 8-10 cups of hot water a day. Basically, eat steamed or boiled vegetables and chicken, ground turkey, fish or lamb. Avoid processed foods and dairy. See if it helps. Along with following this diet, I started taking 1 or 2 tablespoons a day of Flaxseed Oil as well as one capsule of B2. Also, I began meditating everyday for 30 minutes or so, doing deep breathing as I meditated. I don't know for sure what has helped the most ( I also had daily vascular headaches in my temples), but all my head pain, which has gone on for years every day has rarely occurred since I began this combination of remedies. I hope these suggestions can help you. Sandy P.S. Yes, even tv or using the pc could worsen the pain for me in the past before I started the above treatments. If my blood is thinner I notice it less. I am sure problem is still there but the amplitude is lower. I use gingko as blood thinner.
