Guest guest
hi radha, i had to go thru a cat scan a few years ago to see if my sinus areas were infected as well as see an ear nose and throat md to see if i needed surgery..apparently mine is triggered alot by allergies... and i dont need surgery nor did my cat scan show anything ..... i also think the fir heaters have helped my chronic sinus promblems but due to a horrible allergy season its triggering migranes and i now am on antibiotics for sinus infection. i also found that using a nasal steamer daily with ginger tea in the bottom of it instead of water, as the liquid penetrates in my sinus area well( recommened by my cranial sacral osteopath) then i drink the remaining tea which also helps me I also found that using water with a tiny amount of xylitol in it in my nasal steamer also helps alot instead of using plain water at the bottom of it ..( anti microbial) can buy it in health food stores or online places like n.e.e ..d.s ..( not affilated with them but have used them in the past) i hope u get some relief .somish. Guest guest
Fir saunas helped my sinuses. I used to have acute sinusitis all the time before the saunas. Guest guest
I have been experimenting with this FIR device my doc loaned me. It's a circular plate on flexible arm on a floor stand. I was having some mild sinus pain this evening, and a swollen gland under my jaw, and eyestrain, while you all were discussing sinuses, so I tried this device. I only used it for about 5-8 mins, I would say, and the pain was still there at that point, but shortly after I realized it was all gone. That was a few hrs ago. It has stayed gone. This device is made in China, and costs about $200.00 plus S & H I am not selling it. You can look it up on the web: Search for TDP cq-27 Adrienne Re: Re, severe sinus problems Try Sporanox and take PB8 probiotics.
Guest guest
Side effects of Astelin: http://www.pharmacyhealth.net/d/astelin-8762.htm It can cause heart palpitations (an indication that it can act like adrenaline on the system) and sleepiness (which some antihistamines like Benadryl do, and might increase fatigue problems), but it also has a long list of other potential side effects. Also, it is for allergic rhinitis, and not to treat or prevent sinus infections. Because antihistamines can sometimes overdry the sinuses, they can contribute to the development of sinus infections. I haven't read anywhere that Astelin could be used if a sinus infection was present. lindaj@...
