Guest guest
Dear Members, Today I have added 5 new articles on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome to my website. 2 articles are out of the Townsend Newsletter for Doctors and Patients ( issues november and january 2001 ). The first article discusses the potential of L-carnitine, Q10 and essential fatty acids as possible treatments for CFS. The article lists some studies on all 3 supplements with beneficial results for certain subgroups of CFS patients. In the 2nd article, Majid Ali, MD explains, in lay terminology, his theory concerning the underlying causes of fibromyalgia. Dr. Ali asserts that the fatigue, brain fog, and muscle pain are signs of oxygen deprivation caused by the build-up of oxidants and the resulting oxidative damage. Also, Dr. Ali believes that oxygen deprivation and fibromyalgia can be reversed. An intesting article for both CFS and Fibromyalgia patients Here are the titles of the other 3 articles: 1) Characteristics of Long-Duration CFS By Fred Friedberg, PhD, State University of New York Research Reviews 2001 - The CFIDS Association of America 2) Panel: " Substantial " Evidence Links CFS, Immune System Research Reviews 2002 - The CFIDS Association of America 3 Heavy metals and the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - Testimony of prof. Kenny De Meirleir, Human Physiology, VUB Date: hearing of 5 March 2001 You can read the articles at: http://www.cfsresearch.org/cfs/whatsnew.htm Also, I have migrated CFSResearch's announcement list from groups to Lsoft listserv.
