Yummmm, I love my soy! No one will convince me otherwise. If you look hard

enough you can find good and bad about ANYTHING, you just need to look at the

source,( wasn't Weston Price just a dentist?) and make what you feel is the best

decision for you and your family. I have been eating soy for the past 12 years

and according to Mercola I shouldn't have been fertile, hmmm, I conceived two

children while trying to prevent and I shouldn't have had small and frail babies

(8.5 lbs and 10 lbs, guess they could have been 10 and15 lbs, eh?).

This discussion comes up every once in awhile and it is the one that always ends

up ruffling my feathers.

What does this have to do with vaccines?

You have been talking about soy here...........

Here is some excellent info

http://www.westonaprice.org/soy/index.html

(also in French on the website for those you know)

Introduction: Confused About Soy?

* High levels of phytic acid in soy reduce assimilation of calcium,

magnesium, copper, iron and zinc. Phytic acid in soy is not neutralized by

ordinary preparation methods such as soaking, sprouting and long, slow

cooking. High phytate diets have caused growth problems in children.

* Trypsin inhibitors in soy interfere with protein digestion and may

cause pancreatic disorders. In test animals soy containing trypsin

inhibitors caused stunted growth.

* Soy phytoestrogens disrupt endocrine function and have the potential

to cause infertility and to promote breast cancer in adult women.

* Soy phytoestrogens are potent antithyroid agents that cause

hypothyroidism and may cause thyroid cancer. In infants, consumption of soy

formula has been linked to autoimmune thyroid disease.

* Vitamin B12 analogs in soy are not absorbed and actually increase the

body's requirement for B12.

* Soy foods increase the body's requirement for vitamin D.

* Fragile proteins are denatured during high temperature processing to

make soy protein isolate and textured vegetable protein.

* Processing of soy protein results in the formation of toxic

lysinoalanine and highly carcinogenic nitrosamines.

* Free glutamic acid or MSG, a potent neurotoxin, is formed during soy

food processing and additional amounts are added to many soy foods.

* Soy foods contain high levels of aluminum which is toxic to the

nervous system and the kidneys.

Possible Legal Action On Medical Problems Caused By Soy

The Weston A. Price Foundation is undertaking a new initiative to

investigate instances and arrange possible legal assistance for individuals

who believe that they or their child may have suffered serious physical or

medical consequences as a result of ingesting one or more products

containing soy.

A growing body of credible medical and dietary research suggests that soy

products may cause adverse medical and developmental conditions in

susceptible persons, especially children – who in some instances may be

affected by soy products consumed either by themselves (for instance, in

baby formula) or by their mothers prior to giving birth.

The Weston A. Price Foundation is exploring the causal connection between

soy and various serious conditions – see attached listing. We have also

sought out competent attorneys in the United States and elsewhere, who may

develop medical evidence in a number of these cases to pursue damages or

other appropriate remedies against the manufacturers and sellers of soy

products.

If you would like to participate in these efforts, we urge you to contact

the Weston A. Price Foundation at westonaprice_soy@... . Upon

receipt of your e-mail, we will forward you, via e-mail with attachments, a

questionnaire and release form. We urge you to complete the questionnaire,

fully and honestly, to the best of your ability. Also, please sign and

return the medical authorization(s) along with the questionnaire, in order

that we might gather relevant medical records in those cases that warrant

further investigation. Mailing address and fax number will be provided to

you with the questionnaire.

PLEASE BE ADVISED that not all of these potential claims can or will be

pursued, even if we conclude that you or your child may have suffered some

adverse effects from the consumption of soy products. It may be too late

under applicable state laws to pursue some claims; and in other cases, the

parties responsible for your condition may not be adequately identified, or

the recoverable damages may not warrant pursuit of the responsible parties.

However, if you would like us to conduct a preliminary investigation of the

circumstances of your potential claim, without cost or obligation to you,

then promptly contact us at westonaprice_soy@... . We hope to be

able to assist you in this matter, if our inquiry develops evidence of

corporate responsibility for your medical problems or those of your child.

Please forward this e-mail to anyone you think may have an interest,

including other e-mail lists that you belong to.

Sincerely,

Sally A. Fallon, President

I don't think anyone was trying to convince you to not love your soy

:) Information is available--you can take or or leave it and still

love it....

We only buy non gm soy.

I ate soy for about five years before becoming pregnant, I ate soy during both

pregnancies. My children are six and three. My six year old is sick alot, but

that is from the vaccines he had as an infant, my three year old is hardly ever

sick. He just got over the chicken pox, which wasn't half as bad as his

brother's and both boys are very tall compared to their peers. Actually my six

year old is taller than kids older than him!

My six year old has many food allergies and soy is not one of them, although,

dairy and eggs are two of the big ones, go figure!
